RESOLUTION OF AWARD N,O. 2~81
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa And did, in open session
<br />at an adjourned regular meeting thereof, on the 25th day of March, 1929, publicly
<br />open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the following
<br />work, under Resolution of Intention No. 2072, in the City of Santa Aha, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> That a portion of street in the City of Santa Aha upon which work
<br />shall be done and improvements made as hereinafter set forth is upon and along
<br />that open public street conmonly known as and called Sycamore Street, between
<br />the South line of Washington Avenue and the center line of Seventeenth Street,
<br />excepting therefrom any of said work already done to the official grade.
<br />
<br /> That the work to be done and improvement to be made upon and along the
<br />hereinbefore described portion of street, in accordance with the plans and
<br />specifications therefor on file in the Office of the City Clerk shall be as
<br />follows:
<br />
<br /> That the hereinbefore described Portion of Sycamore Street shall be
<br />graded b~t*een the Northerly curb line of Washington Avenue and the Southerly
<br />line of Seventeenth Street, and shall be paved with Portland Cement concrete
<br />pavement, between the Northerly cumb line of Washington Avenue and a line drawn
<br />parallel to and distant forty (AO) feet Southerly from the center line of
<br />Seventeenth Street, excepting therefrom any of said work already done to the
<br />official grade. The grading and paving as hereinbefore set forth shall extend
<br />from club line to curb line, except that at driveway locations the grading and
<br />paving shall extend back of the curb line to the street side of the sidewalk, all
<br />as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications
<br />hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The excavation for and construction of Pox~cland Cement Concrete Curbs
<br />upon ahd along the hereinbefore described portion of Sycamore Street where curbs
<br />are shown on the plans to be built, all as particularly indicated on and in
<br />accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The excavation for and construction of Portland Cement concrete sidawalkl
<br />upon and along the hereinbefore described portion of street, where sidewalks are
<br />shown on the plans to be built, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance
<br />with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The excavation for and construction of Salt Glazed Vitrified Clay
<br />Pipe Main Sewer, together with~oles, flush tank and all other necessax,y
<br />appurtenances thereto, from and connecting with the existin~ manhole at Washingtoz
<br />Avenue to and connecting with the.ex~sting sewer main at the Southerly line of
<br />Fifteenth Street, and also from and connecting with the existing sewer at the
<br />Northerly line of Fifteenth Street to and connecting with the flush tank to be
<br />installed at a point 140 feet Southerly from the center line of Seventeenth
<br />Street, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and
<br />specifications hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The excavation for and construction of Salt Glazed Vitrified Clay Pipe
<br />house connecting sewers, together with all eighth bends, disc seals, and other
<br />necessary appurtenances thereto installed upon and along the hereinbefore
<br />described portion of Sycamore Street, from and connecting with the sewer main to
<br />be installed to points one foot back of the club line, all as particularly
<br />indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter
<br />mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The excavation for and construction of cast iron pipe water main,
<br />including valves, valve boxes, fire hydrant and all necessary appumtenances
<br />thereto, installed upon and along the hereinbefore des'cribed portion of Sycamore
<br />Street, from the North line of Washington Avenue to the Southerly line of Fifteenth
<br />Street and from the Northerly line of Fifteenth Street to the Southerly line of
<br />Seventeenth Street, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the
<br />plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The excavation for and construction of copper house service water
<br />connections, including all connections, fittings, cocks and other necessary
<br />appurtenances thereto installed upon and along the hereinbefore described portion
<br />of Sycamore Street, from and connecting with the water main to be installed at
<br />right angles thereto, and extending to points one foot back of the curb and at
<br />such locations as are particularly indicated on and in accordance with the
<br />plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The excavation for and construction of wrought iron pipe gas main
<br />installed upon and along the hereinbefore described portion of Sycamore Street,
<br />from and connecting with the existing gas main ten feet Southerly from the center
<br />line of Washington Avenue to a point 27.55 feet Southerly from the center line
<br />of Seventeenth Street, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with
<br />the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The excavation for and construction of wrought iron pipe gas service
<br /> connections, including all cocks, fittings and other necessary appumtenances
<br /> thereto, installed upon and along the hereinbefore described portion of Sycamore
<br /> Street, from and connecting with the gas main to be installed as hereinbefore
<br /> described, at right angles thereto, and extending to the property lines at such
<br /> locations and depths as are particularly indicated on and in accordance with
<br /> the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The removal of all trees or stumps existing upon and along the herein-
<br /> before described portion of Sycamore Street, from property line to property line,
