<br /> That Carob trees shall be planted in the parkway.upon and along the herein-
<br />before described portion of Sycamore Street, at such locations and in such manner
<br />as is particularly indicated on andin, accordance with the plans and specifications
<br />hereinafter mentioned.

<br /> Together with such other work or improvements as are noted on the plans or
<br />specifications which shall be considered as incidental to the above described work
<br />and improvements, and no additional compensation shall be allowed therefor.
<br />
<br /> The work to be done as herein set forth shall include the furnishing of all
<br />labor, equipment and materials necessary for or appurtenant to the construction and
<br />completion of all work herein specified.
<br />
<br /> RESOLVED, That the said City Council hereby reject all of said proposals or
<br />bids except the next herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing s aid
<br />work and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: Griffith Company, at
<br />the price named in thei~ bid as follows, to-wit:

<br /> Item No. 1. The grading to a subgrade and the laying thereon of a Portland
<br />cement concrete pavement having a total thickness of five (8) inches, complete with
<br />the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Sixteen
<br />and 9/10 cents ($0.169) per square foot.

<br /> Item No. 2. The excavation for and the construction of Portland Cement
<br />Concrete curbs, complete with. the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and
<br />material for the sum of Forty five cents ($0.48) per linear foot.

<br /> Item No. 3. The excavation for and the construction of Portland Cement
<br />concrete sidewalks having a total thickness of three and one-half (3-1/25 inches,
<br />complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the
<br />sum of Fourteen and 1/2 cents ($0.148) per square foot.

<br /> Item No. 4. The excavation for and the construction of Portland Cement
<br />Concrete aid~walkshaving a total thickness of five (5) inches, complete with the
<br />furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Twenty centl
<br />($0.20) per square foot.

<br /> Item No. 5. The trenching, furnishing and laying of six (6) inch diamete~
<br />vitrified clay pipe main sewer, complete with the furnishing of all necessary
<br />equipment, labor and material for the sum of Sixth cents ($0.80) per linear foot.

<br />manholes complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material
<br />for the sum of Sixty-five Dollars ($65.00) each.

<br /> Item No. 8. The excavation for and the construction of a Standard Concrete
<br />Flushtank together with all necessary appurtenances thereto, complete with the fUrn-
<br />ishing of all necessary equi~ent, labor and material for the sum of One Hundred
<br />Ten and no/lO0 ($110.00) complete.

<br /> Item No. 9. The trenching, furnishing and laying of four (4) inch diameter
<br />cast iron pipe water main, together with all necessary valves, concrete valve boxes,
<br />fittings ar~l other necessary appurtenances thereto, complete with the furnishing of all
<br />necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of One Dollar$$1.O0) per linear foot

<br /> Item No. 10. The trenching, furnishing and laying of three-quarter (3/~ inch
<br />diameter copper pipe house connecting water services, together with all corporation
<br />cocks, curb cocks, fittings and necessary appurtenances thereto, complete with the
<br />furnishing of al~ necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Fifteen
<br />Dollars ($15.00) each.

<br /> Item No. 11. The excavation for, the furnishing and the installation of a
<br />Corey four (4) inch valve opening fire hydrant together with the valve, valve box,
<br />pipe and other necessary appurtenances thereto, complete with the furnishing of all
<br />necessax-y equipment, labor andmaterial for the sum of Ninety-five dollars ($98.00)
<br />complete.

<br /> Item No. 12. The trenching, furnishing and laying of three (3) inch diameter
<br />Byers wrought iron pipe gas main complete with the furnishing of all necessary equip-
<br />ment, labor and material for the sum of Seventy-five cents ($0.V5) per linear foot.

<br /> Item No. 13. The trenching, furnishing and layifig of one and one-quarter
<br />(1-1/4) inch diameter Byers wrought iron pipe house connecting Ss services together with
<br />all cocks, fittings and necessary appurtenances thereto, complete with the furnishing
<br />of all necessary equi~ent, labor and material for the sum of Fifteen dollars ($18.00)
<br />each.

<br /> Item No. 14. The removal and disposal of all existing trees or stumps within
<br />the right of way, complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor, for
<br />the sum of Three Dollars ($3.00) each.
