RESOLUTION NO. 2102 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE <br /> ISSUANCE OF STREET IMPROVEMENT B0~DS PURSUA~ <br /> TO RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2051; DETERMINING <br /> THE ~vIOUNT OF UNPAID ASSESSMENTS; PRESCRIBING <br /> THE DENOMINATION OF SUCH BONDS A~ PROVIDING FOR <br /> THEIR ISSU~NCE IN ANh~AL SERIES: <br /> <br /> W!~REAS, pursuant to Statute, notice of filing of list of unpaid assessments <br />was duly given in the manner and form required by law, that the warrant, assessment and <br />diagram was r~corded on the 7th day of May, 1929, for the work and improvement made by <br />Gri½fith Co., under that certain contract awarded to it on the 21st day of January, 192~ <br />upon Pine Street between the Easterly line of Cedar Street and the ~sterly line of <br />Minnie Street an~ Cedar Street between the Easterly extended Southerly line of Pine <br />Street as it exists ~ester~y from Cedar Street, and the ~esterly extended Northerly line <br />of Pine Street as it exists Easterly from Cedar Street; and that said warrant, assessme~ <br />and diagram were returned to the Street Superintendent of said City, together with a <br />written statement of all payments received upon the said assessment; and after the full <br />expiration of thirty (~0) days from the date of the recording of said warrant, the said <br />Street Superintendent duly made and filed with the City Clerk of the said City of Santa <br />Aha a complete list of all assessments unpaid upon the said assessment, which list is <br />now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the said City; now upon evidence shown, <br />this City Council determines that the assessments therein mentioned were then unpaid, <br />the total aggregate thereof being the sum of Four Thousand Six t~ndred Forty-one and <br />27/100 Dollars (~,8~1.2V), and no assessments have been paid since the filing of the <br />list of unpaid assessments by the Street Superintendent, and that there now remains <br />unpaid the sum of Four Thousand Six Hundred Forty-one and 2V/lO0 Dollars (~,~1.27) <br />upon the assessments shown upon said list. <br /> <br /> Reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intention No. 2OS1 of the City <br />Council of the City of Santa Ana, passed on. the 17th day of December, 1928, f~r a <br />complete description of the work herein mentioned, and to the list of unpaid assessments <br />filed as above stated, for the assessments unpaid. <br /> <br /> AND, ~HEREAS, interested persons were notified in the manner required by law <br />to appear before the City Council of the said City of Santa Ana, California, in the <br />Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City at the hour of ?:~0 o'clock P.~. on Monday <br />the 17th day of June, 1929, and show cause why bonds should not be issued upon the <br />security of the unpaid assessments shown on the said Street Superintendent's list; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice w as duly given, in the manner and form required by law, that <br />serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments bearing interest at the rate of six ~rcent <br />per annum will be issued hereunder in the manner provided in the "Improvement Bond Act <br />of 1915", the last installment of which bonds shall mature nine (9) years from the 2nd <br />day of July, next succeeding ten months from their date, and all interested persons <br />having appeared before this City Council, and having been given full opportunity to show <br />cause why bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid assessments shown <br />on said list, and all objections presented having been heard and considered; <br /> <br /> IT IS THEREFORE N~? BY TI~ CITY COUNCIL OF TRE CITY OF SANTA ANA DETERMINED, <br />RESOLVED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS: That no cause has been sho~m why bonds should not be <br />issued upon the security of said unpaid assessments, and does hereby overrule all object- <br />ions thereto, and does hereby direct the issuance of said bonds; and further <br /> <br /> <br />
