RESOLUTION OF INTENTION <br /> <br /> NO. 2109 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br /> DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO ORDER THE PAVING AND OTHERWISE <br /> IMPROVING OF GRAND AVENUE FROM FIRST STR~T TO FOURTH <br /> STREET, AND SECOND STREET FROM McCLAY STREET TO GRAND <br /> AVENUE; DECLARING THE SAID WORK AND IMPR~EM~]NT TO BE OF <br /> MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT, DECLARING THE <br /> DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED THEREBY AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY <br /> THE COSTS AND EXPENSES T~EREOF; DETERMINING THAT BONDS <br /> SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT SAID COSTS AND EXPENSES, AND <br /> FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID <br /> WORK OR IMPROVEMENT, OR TO THE EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT TO <br /> BE ASSESSED, OR BOTH. <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, pursuant to the provisions of the <br />Improvement Act of 1911, and the Improvement Bond Act of 191§, and amendments to said <br />acts, do resolve as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires and it is the <br />intention of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, to order the con- <br />struction of the following work and improvement in said City, to-wit: <br /> <br /> That the portions of streets in the City of Santa Ana upon which work shall be <br />done and improvements made as hereinafter set forth are upon and along those open public <br />streets commonly known as and called Grand Avenue from the center line of First Street <br />and Second Street from the surveyedcenter line of McClay Street to the East line of <br />Grand Avenue, excepting therefrom any portions of said strets upon which the work is <br />already done to the official grade. <br /> <br /> That the work to be done and improvements to be made upon and along the herein- <br />~bove described portions of streets in accordance with the plans and specifications <br />therefor, on file in the office of the City Engineer, shall be as follows: <br /> <br /> That Grand Avenue between the North line of First Street and the South line <br />of Fourth Street, and Second Street between the ¥;est lin e of McClay Street and the <br />East line of Grand Avenue shall De graded and paved with asphaltic concrete pavement, <br />from curb line to curb line and where cross streets intersect the grading and paving <br />shall extend beyond the curb lines to the extended property lines of said street; and <br />at driveway locations the grading and paving shall be for their entire width and from the <br />street side of the curb to the street side of the sidewalk, all as particularly indicated <br />on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> The excavation for and construction of Portland ce~nt concrete curbs upon and <br />along the hereinbefore described portions of streets, where curbs do not exist or where <br />replacements are to be made, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the <br />plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> The excavation for and const~ction of Portland cement concrete sidewalks <br />upon and along the hereinbefore described portions of str ets where sidewalks do not now <br />exist or replacements are to be made, all aa particularly indicated on and in accordance <br />with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> The excavation for and construction of salt glazed vitrified clay pipe house <br />connecting sewers, laid at such elevations and grades and at such locations as are <br />particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafte~ <br />mentioned. <br /> <br /> Together with such other work and improvements.as are noted on the plans or <br />specifications, which shall be considered as incidental to the above described work or <br />improvements, and no additional compensation shall De allowed therefor. <br /> <br /> :39 <br /> <br /> <br />
