RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2115 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DECLARING TItEIR INTENTION TO ORDER TItE INSTALLATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF .AN ORNAMENTAL LIGHTING SYSTEM, THE PAVING AND OTHER%MISE IMPROVING OF ROSS STREET, BETWEEN NINETEENTH STREET AND SANTA CLARA AVENUE, AND A PORTION OF SANTA CLARA AVENUE, DECL4~RING THE SAID WORK AND IMPROVEmeNT TO BE OF MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; DECLARING TP~E DISTRICT TO BE BE~EFITED THEREBY AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY TILE COSTS AND EXPENSES THEREOF; DETERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT SAID COSTS AND EXPENSES AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID WORX OR IMPROVEMENT, OR TO THE EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED, OR BOTH. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 and the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and amendments to said acts, do resolve as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana to order the construction of the following work and improvement in said City, to-wit: That Ross Street, between the center line of Nineteenth Street and the center llne of Santa Clara Avenue and the Southerly half of Santa Clara Avenue between a line drawn parallel to and distant ten (10) feet Easterly from the Northerly extended Easterly line of Ross Street and a line drawn parallel to and distant fifty (50) feet Westerly from the Northerly extended Westerly line of Ross Street be improved by the furnishing, installation and construction of an Ornamental Lighting System, together with the necessary appurtenances to said Lighting System, including the installation of single light standards of the type and kind known as the King Ornamental Standard, Design No. K 0-159, complete with lighting units known as General Election, Form 12 Novalux Units, and including concrete foundations, anchor bolts, pot heads, wiring, lamps, canopies, globes, conduits, cables and other necessary items to complete the lighting system, including the making of necessary connections between standards and to the existing circuits and service point as particularly indicated on the plans and specifications; and the repairing or replacement of all paving, curbs, sidewalks, culverts, conduits, pipe line or sewer, or other improvements cut or damaged during the construction. · £~ ~oss o~ree~ between a mine drawn parallel to ~nd aistan~ two feet ~ou~nerly A~rom ~ne Northerly line of Tract No. 78~, as recorded in Miscellaneous ~aps, Book E3, rage 49, Records of Orange County, California, to uhe center line ul' Santa Clara Avenue and Oho Southerly half of ~anta Clara Avenue between a llne drawn parallel to and distant ten (lC) feet Easterly from the Northerly extended Easterly line of Ross Street and a line drawn parallel to and distant fifty (50) feet Westerly from the Northerly extended Westerly line of Ross Street, excepting therefrom any of said streets already improved to ~he official grade, in addition to the hereinbefore described Ornamental Lighting System, be improved aa follows: The grading and paving of said last described portions of Ross Street and Santa Clara Avenue with Portland cement concrete pavement from curb llne to curb line, except that at driveway locations the grading and paving shall extend back of the curb line to the street side of the sidewalks, all as particularly indicated on and in acc- ordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. The excavation for and construction of Portland cement concrete curbs upon and along the last described portions of Ross Street and Santa Clara Avenue, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications here- inafter mentioned. The excavation for and construction of Portland cement concrete sidewalks upon and along the last described portions of Ross Street, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. The excavation for and construction of salt glazed vitrified clay pipe main sewer, upon the last described portions of Ross Street, together with manhole and flush tank and all other necessary appurtenances thereto, connecting with the existing sewer main at the end of the existing pavement on Ross Street to and connecting with the flush 'tank to be constructed approximately 130 feet Southerly from the Southerly line of Sants Clara Avenue, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with ~he plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. The excavation for and construction of salt glazed vitrified clay pipe house connecting sewers, upon the last described portions of Ross Street, laid at such elewa~ions and grades as particularly sho~rn on the plans and specifications, and connecting with the main sewer to be installed as hereinbefore set forth to points one (1) foot back of the curb line on said street, all as particularly indicated on.and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereafter mentioned. The excavation for and construction of cast iron pipe water main, including valves, valve coxes, fire hydrants and all other necessary appurtenances thereto, upon and along the last described portion of Ross Street, from and connecting with the existing water main at the Northerly end of the existing pavement on Ross Street to and connecting with the existing water main at ~he SOUtherly line of Santa Clara Avenue, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the p~ans and specifications hereafter mentioned.
