The excavation for and construction of copper house service water
<br />connections, including all connections, fittings, cocks and other necessary
<br />appurtenances thereto upon and along the last described portion of Ross Street,
<br />from and connecting with the water main to be iAstalled as hereinbefore mentlone.
<br />at right angles thereto and extending to points one (1) foot back of the curb,
<br />and at such locations as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the
<br />plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The excavation for and construction of wrought iron pipe gas main
<br />upon and along the last described portion of Ross Street from and connecting witl
<br />the existing gaz main at the northerly end of the existing pavement on Ross
<br />Street to and connecting with the existing gas main in Santa Clara Avenue, all
<br />as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications
<br />hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The excavation for and construction of wrought iron pipe gas service
<br />connections, including all cocks, fittings and other necessary appurtenances
<br />thereto, upon and along the last described portion of Ross Street, from md
<br />connecting with the gas main to be installed as hereinbefore described at right
<br />angles thereto, and extending to the property lines, at such locations as are
<br />particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications
<br />hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> The removal of all trees or stumps existing upon or along the last
<br />described portion of Ross Street from property line to. property line, all as
<br />particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications
<br />hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> Together with such other work or improvements as are noted on the plan~
<br />or specifications which shall be considered as incidental to the above described
<br />work and improvements, and no additional compensation shall be allowed therefor.
<br />
<br /> The work to be done as herein set forth shall include the furnishing
<br />of all labor, equi~Eent and materials necessary for or appurtenant to the con-
<br />struction and completion of all work herein specified.
<br />
<br /> That for the installation of the hereinbefore described lighting
<br />system a patented article will be used and a license agreement between Western
<br />Lighting Co~pany, selling agents for King Company and General Electric Company,
<br />and the City of Santa Ana, permitting the use of patented articles, is now on
<br />file in the office of the City Clerk, to which said agreement reference is
<br />hereby made, and the same is made a part of this resolution by ~eference, th~
<br />same as though set forth in full herein.
<br />
<br />~LANSt PROFILESt CROSS-SECTIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS
<br />
<br /> Section 2. All of the hereinbefore described streets, together with
<br />the foregoing work and improvements are fully set forth, delineated and described
<br />on the plans, profiles, cross-sections and detailed drawings known as "THE PLANS
<br />FOR ASSESSNENT DISTRICT NO. 1VV", and as set forth in the specifications known
<br />as "THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 177", which plans and spec-
<br />ifications are on file in the office of the City Engineer, and were adopted by
<br />Resolution No. 2112 on the 22nd day of July, 1929, by the City Council of the
<br />City of Santa Ana as the plans, profiles, cross-sections, detailed drawings and
<br />specifications for said work and improvement. Said plans, profiles, cross-
<br />sections, detailed drawings and specifications are referred to for a full and
<br />detailed description of said work and improvement, the same as though set forth
<br />in full herein, and shall be directory as to the location of all work to be done,
<br />the kind of materials to be used and the type of construction.

<br />CHANGE OF GRADE
<br />
<br /> S~ction 5. That the grade to which the wSrk shall be done and
<br />improvement made which is provided for in this Resolution is shown on the pro-
<br />files therefor, on file in the office of the City Engineer, to which said pro-
<br />files reference is hereby made for the description of such grade, and it is
<br />hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha that the grade shown
<br />on the plans and profiles is the official grade to which the work herein ordered
<br />shall be done.

<br />DESCRIPTION OF BONDS
<br />
<br /> Section 4. The said City Council does hereby declare and determine
<br />and notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments
<br />and to bear interest at the rate of six percent per annum will be issued here-
<br />under in the manner provided in the "Improvement Bond Act of 1915", the last
<br />installment of which bonds shall mature nine (9) years from the 2nd day of July
<br />next succeeding ten (lC) months from their date.
<br />
<br />DESCRIPTION OF ASSESS~ENT DISTRICT
<br />
<br /> Section 5. That the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore
<br />mentioned is in the opinion of the City Council of more than local or ordinary
<br />public benefit, and the expense of said work and improvement is made chargeable
<br />upon the district hereinafter described, and said City Council does hereby
<br />declare said district to be the district benefited by said work and improvement
<br />and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, which district is
<br />bounded and described as follows, to-wit:
