RESOLUTION OF AWARD

<br /> , WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did, in open aession, at
<br />an adjourned regular meeting thereof, on the ~Oth day of June, 1980, publicly open,
<br />ex~e a~d declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work, under
<br />Resolution of Intention No. 2199, in the City of Santa Ana, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> That the work to be done and improvements to be made upon and along the here-
<br />inabove described portions of Birch Street in accordance with the plans and specifieati~
<br />therefor on file in the office of the City Engineer shall be as follows:
<br />
<br /> The furnishirig, installation and construction of an ornamental lighting
<br />system, together with the necessary appurtenances to said lighting system, including
<br />the installation of single light standards of the type and kind known as Marbelite
<br />Lighting Standards, Design No. lllO-S, complete, including all concrete foundations,
<br />anchor bolts, potheads, wiring, lamps, globes, canopies and other necessary items to
<br />c~m~lete t~he lighting system, and the furnishing and installing of all necessary con-
<br />duits and cables, making the necessary connectionm to the existing circuit at the
<br />location indicated on the plans, and making all connections between standards, all as
<br />particularly indicated on the plans and specifications; and the repairing of all curbs,
<br />sidewalks, culverts, pavements cr other improvements cut or damaged during the con-
<br />struction; together with such other work and improvements as shown on the plans and
<br />specifications which shall be considered as incidental to the above described work and
<br />improvement, and no additional compensation shall be allowed therefor.

<br /> That for the installation of the hereinbefore described system, a patented
<br />article will be used, and a license agreement between the MarbeliteCorporation, sellin
<br />agents for General Electric Company, and the City of Santa Aha is now on file in the
<br />office of the City Clerk, to which said agreement reference is hereby madee
<br />
<br /> RESOLVED: That the said City Council hereby rejects all of said proposals Q~
<br />bids except the next herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said
<br />work and improvement to the loweet responsible bidder, to-wit: Walker amd Martin,
<br />at the prices named in their bid as follows, to-wit:

<br /> Item No. 1. The furnishing and installing, upon and along the portions of
<br />streets upon which work is specified to be done under the specifications and plans for
<br />Assessment District No. 185 of all necessary conduits, cables, ground connections and
<br />the making of all necessary connections to the existing circuit and the repair and
<br />replacement of all pavement, sidewalk, curb or conduits cut or damaged during construct-
<br />ion, complete with the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and material for the sum of
<br />Six Hundred Thirty-four:($834.00), complete.

<br /> Item No. 2. The furnishing, constructing and installing of all necessary
<br />concrete foundations, anchor bolts, ornamental single lighting standards, wiring, lamps
<br />globes, canopies, and all other necessary items above ground, complete with the furn-
<br />ishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for n the sum of One Hundred Fifty
<br />Dollars ($150.00) per standard complete.

<br /> The Clerk of the City of Santa Aha is hereby directed to post a notice of
<br />this award conspicuously for five (6) days on or near the door of the Council Chamber
<br />
