NO. ~177 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0P SANTA ANA, DECLARING THEIR INTE~TION TO ORDER THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE CN%BS AND SiDE~ALKS ON FAIRLA%%%[ STREET, BETV~EN FIFTH STRLET AND EIGHTH STRLET, AND THE SOUTHERLi~i HALF 0P EIGHTH STREET BET~EN FAIRLA%~ STREET AND ARTESIA STREET; DAULARING THE SAID WORK AND IMPROVEMENT TO BE OF MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; DECLARING THE DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED T~REBY ~{D TO BE ASSESSZD TO PAY THE COSTS AND EXPENSES Ti~RBOF; DETERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT SAID COSTS AND EXPENSES AI~ FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID WORK OR !MPROVEMENT~ OR TO THE EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED, OR BOTH. The City Council of the City of Santa Aha, pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 and the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and amendments to said acts, do resolve as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires and it is the intention of the City Council of Santa Ana to order the construction of the following work and improvement in said City, to-wit: That ~he portions of streets in the City of Santa Aha upon which work shall be done and improvements shall be made as hereinafter s~ecified shall be upon and along those open public streets con~nonly ~muown as and called Fairlawn Street between the center line of Fifth Street and the center line of Eighth Street, and the Southerly half of Eighth Street between the Easterly line of Fairlawn Street and the ~.esterly line of Artesia Street, excepting therefrom any portions of said streets already improved to the official grade, as shown on the plans. That the work to be done and improvements to be made upon and along the herein- before described p~rtions of streets shall be the excavation.for and construction of Portland Cement Concrete Curbs, and the excavation for and construction of Portland Cement Concrete Sidewalks, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. ~ Together with such other work or improvements as are noted on the plans and specifications which shall be considered as incidental to the above described work and improvements~ and no additional compensation shall be allowed therefor. The work to be done as herein set forth shall include the furnishing of all labor, equipment and materials necessary for or appurtenant to the construction and completion of all work herein specified. ~,LANS~ PROFILES~ CROSS-SECTIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS Section ~.. All of the hereinbefore described streets, together with the fore- going work and improvements are fully s~t forth, delineated and described on the plans, profiles, cross-sections and detailed drawings known as THE PLANS FOR ASSESSD~NT DISTRICT NO. 18~"~ and as set forth in the specifications kno~m as "THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR ASSESS- ~AENT DISTRICT NO. 18~"~ which plans and specifications are on file in the Office of the City Engineer, and were adopted by Resolution No. ~lT8 on the l~th day of March, 1900, by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana as the plans, profiles, cross-sections, detailed drawings and specifications for said work and improvement. Said plans, pro- files, cross-sections, detailed drawings and specifications are referred to for a full and detailed description of said work and improvement, the same as though set forth in full herein~ and shall be directory as to the location ef all work to be done, the kind of materials to be used and the type of construction.
