V <br /> OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING ACQUISITION AND <br /> IMPROVENENT <br /> <br />,NO. 2195 <br /> <br /> ?.q~EREAS, at the time, place and in the manner set forth in Resolution of <br /> Intention No. 2184, adopted by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha on the 21st da <br /> of April, 1930, In the Matter of Acquisition and Improvement District No. 7 of the <br /> City of Santa Ana, a full, fair and impartial hearing was accorded all persons having <br /> any objections to those things proposed to be done as set forth in said Resolution; <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this City Council has adopted its Resolution passing upon all pro- <br /> tests presented, both written and oral, and has made its determination as to the <br /> extent of the Assessment District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, evidence has been received as to the publication of said Resolution <br /> of Intention No. 2184, and the posting of notice of public improvement therein ordered <br /> posted, at the time and in the manner prescribed by law, and as to the necessity for <br /> the acquisitions contemplated and the benefits to be derived therefrom. <br /> <br /> NOW, THFH~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana~ <br /> that it is hereby found, determined and ordered as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. That the said Resolution of Intention No. 2184 heretofore adopted on the <br /> 21st day of April, 1930, has been duly and legally published as required by law, and <br /> that the notice of public improvement therein directed to be posted has been duly and <br /> legally posted, .in the time, form, manner and number as required by law, and that all <br /> protests or objections presented have been disposed of in time, form and manner as <br /> required by law, and that this Legislative Body has now acquired jurisdiction to order <br /> the things proposed to be done as set forth in said Resolution of Intention No. 2184. <br /> <br /> 2. That the boundaries of the Assessment District for said Acquisition and <br /> Improvement District No. 7, as proposed in said Resolution of Intention are hereby <br /> adopted and established as to the boundaries of said Assessment District. <br /> <br /> 3. That the public interest and necessity requires, and it is hereby ordered <br /> that the following acquisitions for the widening of a portion of West Seventeenth <br /> Street, in the City of Santa Ana, be made to-wit: <br /> <br /> A strip of land fourteen (14) feet wide lying North of and in~aediately <br /> adjacent to the North line of Seventeenth Street and extending from the <br /> '?esterly line of Nain Street to the Easterly line of Greenleaf Street~ <br /> excepting from said fourteen (14) foot strip of land any and all portions <br /> thereof used for street and alley purposes. <br /> <br /> A strip of land fifteen (15) feet wide lying South of and immediately <br /> adjacent to the Southerly line of Seventeenth Street and extending from <br /> the Westerly line of Main Street to the Easterly line of Flower Street, <br /> excepting from said fifteen (15) foot strip of land any and all portions <br /> thereof used for street and alley purposes$ <br /> <br />all as set forth and described in said Resolution of Intention No. 2184, passed and <br />adopted on the 2lst day of April, 1930, and in the specifications referred to, and that <br />the property necessary to be taken for such widening of West Seventeenth Street, and <br />which ~s hereby ordered to be acquired therefor, is that described in Section I of said <br />Resolution of Intention. <br /> <br /> 4. That the City Attorney of the City of Santa Ana is hereby ordered to bring <br />an action in the name of the City of Santa Ana, in the Superior Court of the State of <br /> <br /> <br />
