RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2199 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO ORDER THE INSTALLATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF AN 0RNA~&ENTAL LIGHTING SYSTE~ ON BIRCH STREET BETWEEN FAIRVZEW AVENUE AND THE NORTHERLY LINE OF TRACT NO. 352; DECLARING THE SAID WORK TO BE OF ~I(RE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; DECLARING THE DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED BY SAID WORK AND I~PROVE~ENT AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE COSTS AND EXPENSES THEREOF; DETERNINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT SAID COSTS A}CD EXPENSES AND FIXING THE TZ~E AND PLACE FOR HE~ING OBJECT- IONS TO SAID WORK OR IMPROVE~NT, OR TO THE EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED, OR BOTH. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 and the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and amenclments to said acts, do resolve as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires ~d it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, California, to order the con- struction of the following described work and improvement in said City, to-wit: That the portion of the street in the City of Santa Aha upon ~ich work shall be done and improvements made as hereinafter set forth shall be upon and along that open public street commonly known as and called Birch Street between Fairview Avenue and the ~ortherly line of Tract No. 3~2. That the work to be done and improvements to be made upon and along the herein- above described portion of Birch Street in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor on file in the Office of the City Engineer shall be as follows: ~he furnishing, installation and construction of an ornamental lighting system, together with the necessary appurtenances to said lighting system, including the install- ation of single light standards of the type and kind ~vn as Marbelite Lighting Standard Design No. lllO-S, complete, including all concrete foundations, anchor bolts, potheads, wiring, lamps, globes, canopies and other necessary items to complete the lighting system, and the furnishing and installing of all necessary conduits and cables, making the necessary connections to the existing circuit at the location indicated on the plans, and making all connections between standards, all as partmcularly indicated on the plans and specifications; and the repairing of all curbs, sidewalks, culverts, pavement or other improvements cut or damaged during the construction, together with such other work and improvements as shown on the plans and specifications which shall be considered as incidental to the ~bove described work and improvement, and no additional compensation shall be allowed therefor. That for the installation of the hereinbefore described system a patented article will be used, and a license agreement between the ~arbelite Corporation, selling agents for General Electric Company, and the City of Santa Ana is now on file in the Office of the City Clerk, to which said agreement reference is hereby made and the same is made a part of this Resolution by reference, the same as though set forth in full herein. .~.LANS, PROFILES~ CROSS-SECTIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS Section 2.
