RESOLUTION NO. ~9-18~ APPROVIh~ i~iAP AND ~)ECLARING INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF SULLIVAN STREET BETWEEN CASTER STREET Ai~D T~E SOUTH BOUNDARY 0F TRACT NO. 2511 %~HEREAS, on recommendation of the Department of Public Works and approval of the Planning Commission, the City Council has concluded that a portion of Sullivau Street may be unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the map attached hereto marked "Exhibit ~, is hereby approved and ordered filed with and as a part of this Resolution, a~d reference is hereby made to said map for particulars and exact details of this proposed vacation, and the City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate and abandon a portion of Sullivan Street lying in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, amd described as: That portion of Sullivm Street between the South line of Caster and the South boundary of Tract No. 2~ll, as per map thereof recorded in i~ook ll3, Pages 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 and 34 of I~iiscellaneous i~aps, Records of said Orange County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the hour of 7:30 P.M. on the 8th day of September, 19~9, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 3rd ~d Main Street, Santa Ana, California, is the time and place fixed for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed street vacation. The City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed with said street vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Section 8300 through 8374 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California); and the Clerk of the Council is hereby ordered to publish this Resolution in the manner prescribed by law for 'the publication of Ordinances of theCity, and the Director of Public ~orks is ordered to post conspicuously along the lines of said street on the part proposed to be vacated, notices stating the passage of this Resolution of intention and the time and place of hearing thereon. Such notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at ~ast three shall be so posted; said publication and posting shall be completed at least ten days before the date of hearing.
