RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT <br /> <br /> NO. 2588 <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha on the 1st day of <br /> <br />August, 19~8, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2579 to order the hereinafter <br />described improvement to be made and public work to be done in the City of Santa Ana; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREA~, after the passage and adoption of Resolution of Intention No. 2879 <br />the Street Superintendent of the City of ~anta Aha conspicuously posted along the <br />line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three hundred (~00) <br />feet in distance apart, and seven in all, notices of the passage of said Resolution <br />of Intention, headed, NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK, in the manner, form and substance as <br />required by law, and said Street Superintendent also caused a notice similar in <br />substance to be published for a period of ten (10) days in the Orange County Reporter, <br />a daily newspaper published and circulated in the City of Santa Ana, and named by <br />said City Council in said Resolution of Intention as the paper in which said notice <br />should appear, all as appears from the affidavit of W. P. Hagthrop, the printer and <br />publisher of said daily newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the office of <br />the Clerk of the City of Santa Aha on the 12th day of August, 1938, and is now on file <br />therein; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha con~enced the <br />posting of the notices hereinbefore referred to on the Sth day of August, 19Z8, and <br />fUlly completed the posting thereof on the 5th day of August, 1938, as appears from <br />the affidavit of J. L. McBride, Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, and <br />more than ten (10) days having expired after the expiration of the time of the <br />publication of said notice within which protests or objections to the proposed work <br />or improvement might be made by any person interested objecting to said work or <br />improvement, or to the extent of the district or lands to be affected or benefited by <br />said work or improvement and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the next meeting of the City Council after the expiration of <br />said ten (10) days after the expiration of the time of the publication of said <br />notice, and no objection to said work or improvement having been made or on file, why <br />said proposed improvement should not be carried out in accord~uce with said Resolution <br />of Intention, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha having now acquired Jurisdictic <br />to order the proposed improvement; <br /> <br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOEVED AND ORD~ED: That the public interest and convenience <br />requires the work hereinafter described and the City Council of the City of Santa Aha <br />hereby orders the following work to be done and improvement made in the City of <br />Santa Aha, as follows: <br /> <br /> That that portion of Willits ~treet as hereinafter described in the City of <br />Santa Aua be closed up and abandoned, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Willits Street between the Westerly line of Raitt Street <br /> and the westerly line of Plaza Rancho, as shown on the map of <br /> Plaza Rancho recorded in Miscellaneous Record Maps, Book 2, <br /> Page l~; <br /> <br />All of which is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the City <br />Council of the City of Santa Aha for the said abandonment by Resolution No. 257@ on <br />the 1st day of August, 1938. <br /> <br /> <br />
