RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT NO. 2588 ~HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha on the 1st day of August, 19~8, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2579 to order the hereinafter described improvement to be made and public work to be done in the City of Santa Ana; and WHEREA~, after the passage and adoption of Resolution of Intention No. 2879 the Street Superintendent of the City of ~anta Aha conspicuously posted along the line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three hundred (~00) feet in distance apart, and seven in all, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention, headed, NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK, in the manner, form and substance as required by law, and said Street Superintendent also caused a notice similar in substance to be published for a period of ten (10) days in the Orange County Reporter, a daily newspaper published and circulated in the City of Santa Ana, and named by said City Council in said Resolution of Intention as the paper in which said notice should appear, all as appears from the affidavit of W. P. Hagthrop, the printer and publisher of said daily newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the office of the Clerk of the City of Santa Aha on the 12th day of August, 1938, and is now on file therein; and WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha con~enced the posting of the notices hereinbefore referred to on the Sth day of August, 19Z8, and fUlly completed the posting thereof on the 5th day of August, 1938, as appears from the affidavit of J. L. McBride, Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, and more than ten (10) days having expired after the expiration of the time of the publication of said notice within which protests or objections to the proposed work or improvement might be made by any person interested objecting to said work or improvement, or to the extent of the district or lands to be affected or benefited by said work or improvement and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof; and WHEREAS, at the next meeting of the City Council after the expiration of said ten (10) days after the expiration of the time of the publication of said notice, and no objection to said work or improvement having been made or on file, why said proposed improvement should not be carried out in accord~uce with said Resolution of Intention, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha having now acquired Jurisdictic to order the proposed improvement; IT IS HEREBY RESOEVED AND ORD~ED: That the public interest and convenience requires the work hereinafter described and the City Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby orders the following work to be done and improvement made in the City of Santa Aha, as follows: That that portion of Willits ~treet as hereinafter described in the City of Santa Aua be closed up and abandoned, to-wit: Willits Street between the Westerly line of Raitt Street and the westerly line of Plaza Rancho, as shown on the map of Plaza Rancho recorded in Miscellaneous Record Maps, Book 2, Page l~; All of which is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha for the said abandonment by Resolution No. 257@ on the 1st day of August, 1938.
