, RESOLUTION .N.O, 276~ RESOLUTION FOR EXTENSION OF SOUTH BROADWAY EASTEP25Y TO SOUTt{ MAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WITEREAS, public necessity and convenience require, and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of S~nta Aha so to do: THEREFORE, this City Council does hereby declare its intention of opening and extending South Broadway, a street of major importance in the City of Santa Aha, southeasterly from a point near its intersection with Anahurst Place t o South Main Street in extension said City, and that the right of way necessary to be acquired for such is hereby declared to be that certain real property described as A strip of land 86 feet wide, being 43 feet in width on each side of the following described center line: follows: Beginning at a point in the East line of Section Twenty-Five (25), Township Five (5) South, Range Ten (10) West, San Bernardin? Base & Meridian~ distant along said Section lmne S. O0o 40t 35" W., 69.96 feet from the Northeast corner of said Section Twenty Five (25); running thence from said point of beginning, FIRST---Northwesterly along a curve, concave Southwesterly and tangent to the point of beginning, having a radius of three hundred (300) feet, through a central angle of 53° 47' O" a distance of 281.61 feet to a point tangent. SECOND---thence N. 53° 06t 25" W. 475.89 feet to a point. THIRD---thence Northwesterly on a curve, concave Northeasterly and tangent to the last course, having a radius of 300 ft., through a central angle of 53° 407 a distance of 281.00 ft. to its point of tangency with the center line of "Broadway" as shown on a map of Tract No. 597, recorded in Book 19, Page 7, of ~iscellaneous Maps, re~ords of Orange County~ California. Said tangent pomnt being Ne 0° 33' 55" E., 30.00 feet from the intersection of the center line of "Broadway" with the South line of s aid Tract No. 597. Excepting therefrom that portion of the right of way included within South Main Street, State Highway Secondary Route No. 184. Also excepting therefrom that portion of the right of way outside of the City Limits of the City of Santa Aha. Bearings used in this description are based on bearings for South Main Street shown on a map of Tract No. 897. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said extension be approved as an addition to the Streets of Major Importance wi~the City of Santa Aha, as provided for in Section 195 of Streets and Highways Code; and that the Department of Public Works of the State of California be requested to approve and agree to such extension.
