IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the public interest and convenience requires the work hereinafter described and the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby orders the following work to be done and improvement made in the City of Santa Ana, as follows: That that portion of the alleyway as hereinafter described, in the City of Santa Ana, be closed up and abandoned, to-wit: That certain 15 foot alley, 128 feet South of the Eouth line of West First Street, parallel to and between West First Street and West Walnut Street, extending Easterly from the East line of South Arteafa Street a distance of 44~.40 feet; all of which is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana for the said abandonment, by Resolution No. 2?75, on the 18th day of March, 1940. That the public work ordered and the improvement to be made is for the purpose of closing up and abandoning that portion of the alleyway as hereinbefore described, and for that reason no district, property or properties shall be chargeable therewith. All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance to an act of the legislature of the State of California, designated as "STREET IMPROVEMENT LAW of approved March 8, 188~, Statutes 1889, p. 70, and amendments thereto. For further particulars reference is hereby n~de to said Resolution of Intention No. 2774, which is dated the 18th day of March, 1940, and on file with the Clerk of the City of Santa Ana. The Clerk of the City of Santa Ana is herewith instructed to record a copy of this resolution ordering the work and improvement as specified herein, in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Orange, State of California.
