of said notice, within which protests or objections to the proposed work or improvement might be made by any person interested, objecting to said work or improvement or to the extent of the district or lands to be affected or benefitted by said work or improvement, and to be assessed to pay the costs an~ expenses thereof, and WHEREAS, at the next meeting of the City Council after the expiration of said ten (10) days following the expiration of the time of said publication of said notice, the City Clerk presented to the City Council all objections to the said proposed work which had been ~elivered to the Clerk of the City Council, who endorsed thereon the date of reception by her, and the City Council having fixe~ a time for hearing said objections, not less than one week after fixing such time, and the 0ity Clerk having thereupon notified all the persons making such objections, by depositing a notice of the time and place of hearing thereof in the post office of the City of Santa Ana, California, postage prepaid ad~lressed to such objector, aha the time fixed for hearing such objections having arrived~ and said City Council having heard the objections against said work or improvement which were made or filed herein, and having considered the same, and overrule~ said objections to said work or improvement, and the City Council of the City of Santa Ana having now acquired Jurisdiction to or.er the proposed improvement; IT IS HEREBY RESOLVEDAND ORDERED that the public interest and convenience requires the work hereinafter ~escribed and the City Council of the CiTy of Santa Aha hereby orders the following work to De done and improvement made in the City of Santa Ana, as follows3 That that certain portion of Lot #A#, Tract No. 530, as hereinafter described, in the City of Sa~taAna, be closed up an~ abandoned, to-wit~
