A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA CALLING A SPECIAL E~ECTION TO <br />SUBMIT TO A VOTE OF THE ELECTORS OF SAID <br />CITY THE QUESTION OF THE ADOPTION OF A CITY <br />CHARTER FOR ~ GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XI, SECTION 8, <br />0F THE CONSTIT~TION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />AND ANENDNENTB Tn~ET0, AND AUTHORIZl~NG A CON- <br />SOLIDATION OF SAID ELECTION WITH THE GENERAL <br />ELECTIONS OF N01r~ER 5, 1946. <br /> <br /> THE COUNCIL 0F THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO ~ESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Sec. 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, pumsuant <br /> <br /> to the provisions of Amticle XI, Seetton 8, of the Constitution of the <br /> State of Califoz-nia and amendments thereto, has framed or caused to be <br /> framed a proposed chsmter for the government of the City of Santa Ana, <br /> a copy cf which City Cha~ter is hereunto annexed and mamked Exhibit "A", <br /> and made a part hereof to the same extent as though herein set fomth in full. <br /> <br /> Sec. 2. That a special election shall be held in the City of <br /> <br /> Santa Aha on the 5th day of November, 1948, for the pumpose of submitting <br /> to the electors of said City of Santa Aha the p~position of the adoption <br /> of said City Cha~ter. <br /> <br /> Sec. 5. That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha does elect <br />and does hereby authorize the Board of Supervisors of the County of 0rauge, <br />to consolidate this said special election with the general elections of <br />November 5~ 1946~ and further authorizes the said Board of Supervisors <br />to form the precincts within the City of Santa Aha fo~ such electton~ <br />to fix the polllng places, to appoint the precinct boards, and to provide <br />fo~ the expenses of said election. <br /> <br /> Sec. 4. That the said Council of the City of Santa Ana does autho~'- <br />ize the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to canvass the <br />returns of se/d special election. <br /> <br /> Sec. 5. That the said special election voting precincts, election <br />boards and the polling places shall be those named and established by the <br />Boamd of Supervisors of the County of Orange for the general election of <br />November 5, 1946. <br /> <br /> <br />
