RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE cITY OF <br />SANTA ANA CALLING A S~EOIAL ELECTION TO SUBMIT <br />TO A VOTE OF TEE ELECTORS 0F SAID CITY AN 0~DI- <br />NANOE ESTABLISHING A RECF~ATION DEPARTMENT FOR <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA U~DER MANAGEMEI~ OF A <br />RECRF_ATION COMMISSION CONSISTING 0F SEVEN MEM- <br />BERS; PRESCRIBING TEE MA/~NER OF APPOINTMENT 0F <br />SAID MEMBERS; FF~ESCRIBING THE MANAGEMENT AND SUPER- <br />VISION OF PUBLIC KEC~EATION; PRESCRIBING THE ACQUI- <br />SITION OF AND ESTABLISHING PLAYGROIFND AREAS, BUILD- <br />INGS AND ATHLETIC FIELDS; ESTABLISHING A RECREATION <br />FUND AND LEVYING OF A TAX TU~HEFOR; AND ATJTHORIZING <br />A CONSOLIDATION OF SAID ELECTION WITH THE GENERAL <br /> ELECTIONS OF NOVEM~ER 5, 1946. <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO RESOLE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Sec. 1. That a special election shall be held im the City of <br /> <br />Santa Aha on the 5th day of November, 1946, for the pttrpose of submit- <br />ting to the electors of said City cf Santa Ama the proposition of the <br />adoption cf an ordinance establishing a recreation department for the <br />City of Santa Aha under management of a recreation commission consisting <br />of seven members; prescribing the manner of appointment of said me~bere; <br />prescribing the management and supervision of public recreation; prescrib- <br />ing the acquisition of and establishing playground areas, buildings and <br />athletic fields; establishing a recreation fund and levying of a tax theme- <br />for, which ordinance is hereunto annexed and ma~ked Exhibit "A", and made <br />a part hereof to the same extent as though herein set forth in full, <br />which ordinance is entitled "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A RECREATION DEPART- <br />MENT FOR THE CITY 0F SANTA ANA UNDER MANAGEMENT OF A RECF~ATION COMMISSION <br />CONSISTING OF SEVEN MEMBERS; PRESCRIBING THE MANNER OF APPOINTMENT OF <br />SAID MEMBERS; PRESCRIBING THE MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION OF PUBLIC REC~A- <br />TION; PRESCRIBING THE ACQUISITION OF AND ESTABLISHING PLAYGROUND AREAS, <br />BUILDINGS AND ATHLETIC FIELDS; ESTABLISHING A RECREATION FUND AND LE"~YING <br />OF A TAX THEKEFOR. <br /> <br /> Sec. 2.
