that such ordinance be passed without alteration at the ~egular session <br />at which such petition was presented; or forthwith call a special ®lection <br />at which such ordinance, without alteration, shall be submitted to a vote <br />of the voters of the City of Santa Ana, and which said petition has been <br />duly and regularly filed with the City Clerk of the City of Santa Aha, who <br />has attached his certificate thereto, showing that said petition has been <br />signed by not less than fifteen per cent of the qualified electors of said <br />City of Santa Ans. <br /> <br /> Sec. 3. That a special election was held in the City of Santa <br />Aha on April _~-~, 1546, and within the period of six months last past. <br />That the date of November 5, 1546, is fixed as the date for the within <br />entitled election, as being a date as early as practicable after the ex- <br />piration of six months from the last aforesaid special election, <br /> <br /> Sec. 4. That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha does <br />elect and does hereby authorize the Bosmd of Supervisors of the County <br />of O~ange, to consolidate this said special election with the general <br />elections of November S, 15A6, and fumther authorizes the said Bosmd of <br />Supervisors to form the precincts within the City of Santa Ana for such <br />election, to fix the polling places, to appoint the precinct boards, and <br />to provide for the expenses of said election. <br /> <br /> Sec. $. That the said Council of the Oity of Santa Aha does au- <br />thorize the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to canvass the <br />returns of said special elections <br /> <br /> gec. 6. That the said special election voting precincts, election <br />bosmds and the polling places shall be those named and established by <br />the Boamd of Supervisors of the County of Orange for t he general election <br />of November 5, 1546, <br /> <br /> Sec. ?, That the polls shall he open between the hours of ? o'clock <br />A. M. and ? o'clock P. Me <br /> <br /> Sec. 8. That the election officers serving at said consolidated <br />election to be held November §, 1946, shall receive as compensation for <br />their services in se~ing upon s aid election boards, the sum to be fixed <br />by the Bosmd of Supervisors of the County of Oranges <br /> <br /> <br />
