0 • <br />1.0 SCOPE OF WORK <br />_The City may contract -with more than one vendor in order to completely satisfy the scope of <br />wort required. Please indicate which services you are able to provide. If you are unable to <br />completely satisfy or must deviate from specific requirements, please explain in detail on a <br />separate sheet. <br />Work under this contract includes, but is not limited to: Complies? <br />(circle one) <br />1.1 General <br />1.1.1 Availability of a veterinarian 7 days a week between the hours of yes /6) <br />8:00 am and 7:00 pm. <br />1.1.2 Ability to accept and diagnose injured animals brought in between �e / no <br />the hours above and to be examined by the attending veterinarian within <br />3 hours of their arrival at the facility. After hours care for injured/sick <br />animals to be provided by either the vendor or the Orange County <br />Emergency Pet Clinic. Animals taken to OCEPC shall be <br />transferred to the contracting vet for further treatment and housing the <br />following morning. <br />1.1.3 Providing housing for all injured animals in impound. If the es / no <br />vendor cannot accommodate the volume of injured animals, the vendor <br />shall dispatch a licensed veterinarian or veterinarian technician to administer <br />medication and check condition on a daily basis. Ideally, the veterinarian's <br />facility should be capable of accommodating a minimum of 10 dogs and <br />5 cats from the City shelter at any given time. <br />1.1.4 Performance of medical exams on all types of animals as required. es no <br />1.1.5 Supervision of all medical testing. Pe /no <br />1.1.6 Follow up and continued care, both at the vendors facility and at yes / no <br />the shelter as needed, on all sick and injured animals. . <br />1.1.7 Availability to assist with injured large livestock if required. / no <br />1.1.8 Employment of a competent staff, capable of dealing with various es / no <br />personality types with care and consideration. <br />1.1.9 Availability of a veterinarian technician to assist with shelter needs at / no <br />contractors discretion and direction. <br />1.1.10 Ability to work with special interest and rescue groups in order to es no <br />adopt those animals whose injuries will allow it. <br />
