1.2 Technical <br />1.2.1 Performance of spaying/neutering of adopted cats/dogs within three <br />days of adoption (approx.1,700 dogs and cats annually). <br />Complies? <br />(circle bne) <br />no <br />1.2.2 Provide suture removal and post-surgical follow up of adopted pets ((yep /no <br />at no additional cost to the City or pet owner. Any further service �U <br />or ongoing services between the adopted animal's owners and the <br />veterinarian and related costs are the responsibility of the pet owner. <br />1.2.3 Provide required rabies or other vaccinations to all adopted es no <br />dogs/cats, and all owner redeemed unvaccinated dogs. <br />1.2.4 Performance of euthanasia by injection and disposal of animals �/ no <br />(Approx. 1,500 annually). This includes unwanted, healthy pets <br />when requested and deemed appropriate and authorized by. <br />Animal Services staff. <br />1.2.5 Perform necropsies on animals as necessary and document results es / no <br />for possible court prosecution. <br />1.3 Administrative <br />1.3.1 Order and distribute tranquilizer and euthanasia drugs to Animales / no <br />Services Officers use in the field. U <br />1.3.2 Provide examination and diagnosis of all animals impounded for/ no <br />cruelty investigations, accompanied with professional opinion of v <br />animals condition and probable causes or contributing factors. <br />Determine and advise shelter staff when animals have been abused <br />and provide documentation for prosecution when necessary. <br />1.3.3 Provide ongoing support to management and operational staff of e / no <br />the shelter. <br />1.3.4 The Contractor shall maintain and provide to the City records on each s / no <br />treated animal with the following information: Date of treatment; description v <br />of animal (including whether spayed or neutered); age; gender; tag information; <br />owner information; treatment provided <br />
