RESOLUTION 64-69 AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF <br />REAL PROPERTY NECESSARY FOR A RESERVOIR SITE <br />TO SUPPLY POTABLE WATER WITHIN THE CITY, A <br />RIGHT OF WAY TO AFFORD ACCESS TO SAID SITE, <br />AND A TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, because of the record population growth within <br />the area and the increasing demands for potable water within the <br />City it is necessary that a new reservoir be constructed in the <br />southerly part of Santa Ana on the land hereinbelow described, <br />and because of the location of said land that a right of way to <br />afford ingress and egress to and from said parcel be acquired. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Aha hereby finds and determines that public <br />interest and necessity require the construction of a water reservoir <br />and require the acquisition of a right of way to afford access to <br />and fr~ said reservoir site; that fee title be acquired for said <br />reservoir site and said right of way, and that said public interest <br />and necessity require the acquisition of a temporary easement for <br />construction purposes over the land hereinbelow described in <br />Parcel 3 for the purpose of constructing said reservoir, and <br />further require that said City do have and acquire Parcels 1 and 2 <br />in fee simple and a temporary easement in Parcel 3 of that certain <br />land in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, <br />described as: <br /> <br />PARCEL 1: <br /> <br />That portion of Lot 6 of the Williams Tract, as shown <br />on a map recorded in Book 30, page 14 of Deeds, Records <br />of Los Angeles County, California, described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the intersection of the Easterly line of <br />said Lot 6 with the Northerly line of that certain strip <br />of land 80.00 feet in width described in a Deed to the <br />Southern California Sugar Company, recorded June 7, 1909 <br />in Book 174, page 248 of Deeds; thence North 0° 17' 52" <br />West along said Easterly line a distance of 590.00 feet; <br />thence South 89° 30' 17" West parallel with the Southerly <br />line of said Lot 6 a distance of 340.00 feet; thence <br />South 0° 17' 52" East 590.00 feet to the Northerly line <br />of said land of Southern California Sugar Company; thence <br />North 89° 30' 17" East 340.00 feet to the point of <br />beginning. <br /> <br />PARCEL 2: <br /> <br />That portion of Lots 6 and 7 of the Williams Tract, as <br />shown on a Map recorded in Book 30, page 14 of Deeds, <br />records of Los Angeles County, California, described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at a ~int on the Easterly line of said Lot 6 <br />distant North 0 17' 52" West 590.00 feet from the inter- <br />section of said Easterly line with the Northerly line <br />Of that certain strip of land 80.00 feet in width <br />described in a Deed to the Southern California Sugar <br />Company, recorded June 7, 1909 in Book 174, page 248 of <br />Deeds; thence North 0° 17' 52" West 261.61 feet along <br />said Easterly line of a point on a curve in the Westerly <br />line of land described in a Deed to the Orange County <br />Flood Control District, recorded April 10, 1961, in <br />Book 5682, page 842 of Official Records, concave North- <br />easterly having a radius of 790.00 feet, a radial line <br />through said point bears South 71~ 23' 30" West; thence <br />Northerly along said curve through a central angle of <br />18~ 18' 38" a distance of 252.47 feet to the end of said <br />curve; thence tangent to said curve North 0° 17' 52" <br />West 112.21 feet to the Southerly line of land described <br /> <br /> <br />
