V-~-A~ (OR Form 12~) DEPARE~NT OF THE ARI~Y Corps of Engineers South Pacific Division Lease No. W04-193-eng-897 V~HEHEAS, on the 12th day of March 1943, the CITY OF SANTA ANA, a municipal corporation of the State of California, did lease, demise, and let unto the. United Statem of America the following described premises: That certain parcel of unimproved land located in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Commencing at a point situated on the Southerly line of Eighth Street distant 390 feet North 89° 42' S0" East of the point of intersection of the Southerly line of Eighth Street with the Southerly prolongation of the Easterly line of Freeman Street, thence South 0° 16~ 50" East 118.87 feet; thence North 89° 42~ SO" East 366.74 feet more or less to the Westerly line of Flower Street; thence Northerly along the Westerly line of Flower Street 116.67 feet more or less to the Southwesterly corner of intersection of Eighth Street and Flower Street; thence South 89° 42~ 50" West along the Southerly line of Eighth Street to point of beginning; containing 0.982 acres of land, more or less. WHEREAS, the Government has not exercised its right of can- cellation provided in said lease and possession of said property having been redelivered by the United States of America to the Lessor, on the 1st day of July, 1948; NOW, THEEEFORE, i~NOW ALL ~EN BY THESE PRESENTS, that the City of Santa Aha, a municipal corporation of the State of California, for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar and other valuable con- siderations, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has remised, released, and forever discharged, and by these presents does for itself, its successors, and assigns, remiss, release and forever discharge the United States of America, its officers, agents and employees of and from all manner of actions, liability and claims against the United States of America, its officers, agents and employees which it or they ever had, now have, or ever will have upon, or by reason of any matter, cause, or thing whatsoever, particularly arising out of said lease and the occupation by the United States of America of the aforementioned property.
