<br /> provided that this section does not apply to operatic,thsatrical
<br /> or musical entertainments or lectures or other exhibitions by bona
<br /> fide residents of this city for purposes of benewolence,r~ental
<br /> improv~n~ent or ~.musements.

<br /> (k) For every "flying-horse" or so called me~ry-g®-round $10.00
<br /> per w~ok, provided that any such"flying-horse "or merry-go-
<br /> round shall not be permitted to run under a license under this
<br /> Ordinance on any part of the day comn~only called Sunday.
<br />
<br /> (1) For every stable kept for the sale of horses or mules
<br /> $1E.O0 per annum.
<br />
<br /> (m) For a store for male of oils, fuel, hay, grain flour or
<br /> poultry, or all combined ~'8.00 per annu~l.
<br />
<br /> (n) For carrying for hire goods, freight, merchandise or other
<br /> property with a one horse dray or wagon, $4.00 per annum and with
<br /> a two horse dray or wagon $8.00 per annum, and each shall have a
<br /> legible num. ber as designated by the City Narshal, posted conspic-
<br /> uously thereon and a record ~hall be kept t'hsreof by the City
<br /> Marshal in his office.
<br />
<br />(o) For a motor truck used for transporting, transferring or
<br />carrying goods, wares, merchandise, or other property from one
<br />part of the city to another, the license shall be as follows:
<br />
<br /> For one ton truck or less $4.00 per annu~,.
<br /> For over one ton truck and not over two ton truck
<br /> For over two ton truck and not over three ton truc~k
<br /> For over three ton truck and not over four ton tru~k~10.0
<br /> For over four ton truck

<br /> Subdivision Four.
<br />
<br /> (a) Every solicitor or order agent soliciting or taking orders
<br />from house to house for the sale or purchase of goods, wares or
<br />merchandise, with or without samples, either for present or future
<br />delivery, and hawking, peddling or itinerant vending of goods,wares
<br />or merchandise except vegetables other than bananas or apples
<br />when not in conjunction with any store or ether fixed place of busi-
<br />ness, paying a license fee to the City of Santa Ana, except as
<br />herein otherwise provided,S5.00 per day.
<br />
<br /> )b) For every person who shall own, open, establish, manage or
<br />have charge of a temporary location or place of business of any
<br />kind for the sale of any goods, wares or merchandise, or live stock_k~
<br />to persons not regularly engaged in or carrying on such lines of
<br />business, the license shall be $15.00 per day, provided however
<br />that any person or persons who may own, open, establish, manage or
<br />have charge cf any temporary place of business for the sale of any
<br />goods, waC:es or merchandise or live stock in lieu of such payment
<br />may file with the city marshal as evidence of good faith in lieu
<br />
