RESOLUTION 65-61 STATING AND DECLARING THE RESULT <br />OF THE CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS OF THE GENERAL <br />MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />CALIFORNIA, ON APRIL 6TH, 1965 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council by Ordinance NS-784 duly called and <br />provided for the holding of a General Municipal Election on April 6th, <br />1965, to fill offices and submit to the voters three propositions; <br />and <br /> <br /> W-HEREAS, notice of said Election, notice of nominees for public <br />office, notice of measures to be voted on, notice that copies of the <br />section of the Charter of the City of Santa Ana proposed to be amended <br />could be had at the Clerk's office, and notice of the election officers <br />and polling places were regularly given in time, form and manner as <br />provided by law; the sample ballots and copies of the section of the <br />Charter as it was proposed to be amended, together with copies of the <br />propositions and all arguments in favor of and against the propositions <br />were regularly mailed to all electors within the City, and sample <br />ballots were mailed to those electors outside of the City but within <br />the Santa Ana Unified and Junior College Districts; and said Election <br />on said date was duly held at the polling places designated and the <br />votes cast thereat were canvassed and the returns thereof made in the <br />time and in the manner and form provided for by law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on the 13th day of April, 1965, the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana has duly assembled at its usual place of meeting <br />and has canvassed the returns of said Election. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE, DETE~iINE AND ORDER, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That the General Municipal Election was duly held on April 6th, <br />1965, and the votes cast thereat were duly and regularly canvassed <br />and the returns thereof made in the time, form and manner required; <br />and that all things were regularly done as required by law; that the <br />absent voter ballots were duly canvassed and counted as required by <br />law and the result of such count is hereinafter stated; that this <br />City Council has duly canvassed the returns of said Election and <br />from said returns it appears and this City Council finds that the <br />total number of votes cast in each precinct for each person and for <br />or against each of said three propositions, the n~ber of votes given <br />in the City to each person and for or against each proposition, the <br />whole number of votes cast in the City, and the total number of <br />absentee votes cast in the City and in consolidated voting precinct <br />No. 97 which consisted of two State and County precincts and of School <br />District territory which lies outside of the City Limits of the City <br />of Santa Ana, are as follows: <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
