It is hereby further detez~nined and declared that the Board of Trustees of the city of Santa ~na proposes to incur a bonded debt and to issue and sell the bonds of the city of Ssnta Aha to pay the cost of the completion of the municipal water works thereof. The use hereinafter in this Ordinmnce of the words, "completion of the municipal water workd" means and shall at all times and places be held and construed to mean said municipal improvement set forth in hesolution No. gBg and above described in this Section. The objects ~nd purposes for which the indebtedness is proposed to be incurred is to p~y the cost of the completion of the municipal w~ter works of the city of Santa Ana, by extending the m~in ~nd l~teral wate~ pipes thereof to additional parts of the city of Santa Aha, in order to furnish and provide a constant, adequate, and sufficient supply of wholesome water for domestic use to ~ll of the inhmbitants of the city of Sant~ Ana, and~for the extinguis?~ent of fire 'n all parts thereof. The cost of the completion of the municip~l water works is estimated to be the sum of $1BO,O00.O0, and the amount of the princip~l of the indebtedness to be incur- red therefor by the city of Sant~ Aha is the sum of $180,000.00, which sum will be too great to be paid out of t~e ordinary annual income and revenue of the city of Sant~ Ans. A maximum rate of interest to be p~id on such indebted- ness is hereby recited and fixed ~t five per cent. per annum, payable semi-annually, which rate of interest shall not be exceeded in the issuance of bonds for such indebted- ~ess. ~ection 2. Resolution No. 9Z9 of the the vote of two-thirds of It having been determined by city of Sant~ ;~ns, passed by all the members of the Board of Trustees of s~id city, that the public interest and ~lso the public necessity demands the completion of a municipal improvement by the city of Santa Aha, to-wit: the electric fire alarm system thereof, consisting of the acquisition , of necessary wire, cable, and conduits, fire ~larm boxes, electric fire ~lmrm ~pparatus, appliances, and equipment, and the erection and installation and proper connection thereof with the fire en2ine houses of the city of Santa Aha, in order to carry out the objects, purposes and powers of the city of Santa Aha, and the cost thereof will be too great to be r~aid out of the ordinary annuml income and revenue of the city of Santa ~na.
