That Section 35 of said Ordinance <br /> <br /> shall re~d as follows: <br /> <br /> "For every person, firm or corporation, c-nducting, <br /> managing or carrying on a public dance, whether or not <br /> for profit, to which the public is admitted either with <br /> or without charge, or ~t which the public is sllowed <br /> to p~rticlpate in the dancing, either with or without <br /> charge, $2.00 per dance." <br /> <br /> Section 6. That Section 37 of s~id Ordinance shall <br /> <br /> read as follows: <br /> <br /> "For every person, firm or corporatio~, conducting, <br /> mansging or carrying on any tent show or street exhibition <br /> not otherwise specifically provided for in this ordinance, <br /> whether or not an admission fee charged does not exceed <br /> 28 cents $20.00 per day; where a maximum admission fee <br /> of more than 25 cents but not to exceed 50 cents is <br /> charged, $28.00 per day; and where a maximum admission <br /> fee of more than 50 cents is charged, SZO.O0 per day. <br /> <br /> Nothing i~ this section contained sE~ll be deemed <br /> <br />or construed to authorize the holder of any license pro- <br />vided for in this sec6ion to conduct, ma!at,in or c~rry <br />on any otk~er business in connection with such exhibition <br />or show, without first obtaining a l~cense so to do as <br />in this ordinance provide~ in the event that a license <br />to co~duct, maintain or carry on any such business is <br />required under the provisions of th~s ordinance." <br /> <br /> Section ?. That Section 48 of s~id Ordinance shall <br /> <br />read as follows: <br /> <br /> "For every person, firm or corporation, conducting, <br />m~neging or carrying on the business in the City of Santa <br />Aaa of collecting articles to be laundered ~t a plant <br />operated by steam, or other m~tor power, the sum of SJ.o0 <br />per quarter." <br /> <br /> Section 8. That Section 52 of s~id Ordinance shall <br /> <br />re~d as follows: <br /> <br /> "For every person, firm or corporation conducting, <br />~ana~ing or c~rrying on the business of p~wn broker, <br />$25.00 per ~onth. <br /> <br /> For the ~urpose of th~s ordinance the term "pawn broker" <br />shall be construed to mean and include every person conduct- <br />ing, managing or carrying on the business of loaning ~oney <br />either for himself or for any other person, firm or cor- <br />poration, upon any personal pro~erty, personal security, <br />or purchasing personal property sad reselling or agreeing <br />to resell such articles to the vendor or other s~signee at <br />prices previously ~greed upon. <br /> <br /> <br />
