V4~. <br /> <br /> Ordinance of the Board of Trustees of the City <br />of Santa Aaa, ordering the improvement of North Sycamore <br />Street in said city by the extendtn~ and opening es extend- <br />ed of said street, ~n accordance with the Ordinance of <br />Intention N~mber 740, ~nd order~n~ the City Attorney to <br />bring an'action iu the name of the municipality for the <br />condemnation of the'property necessary or convenient to <br />be taken therefor. <br /> <br /> Whereas, heretofore, on the 28th day of January, <br />1924, the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aaa, duly <br />and regularly passed its Ordinance of Intention No. ?40, <br />declaring the intention of said B~rd of Trustees to order <br />the opening of North Sycamore Street between the North <br />llne of Fifteenth Street ~nd the South line of Seventeenth <br />Street, excepting therefrom that portion of street already <br />dedicated ~s a public thoroughfare, all as is more particu- <br />larly shown by reference to said Ordinance of Intention <br />No. ~4~ and <br /> <br /> Whereas, said Ordinance was duly published accord <br /> ins to law; and whereas, Notfces of Public ~ork were dnly <br /> posted according to law and as ordered by Ordinance of ~i <br /> Intention No. V40, by the Street Superintendsnt of said <br /> City as appears by the affidavit of said ~treet Super;u- <br /> <br />tendant. <br /> <br /> Whereas, <br />notice similar in <br />published by two <br />Evening ke~ister, <br /> <br />said Street Superintendent ca~sed.a <br />substance to the notices so posted to be <br />(2) insertions in the Santa Aua Daily <br />a daily newspaper printed, published <br /> <br />and circulated in said Cit'y of Santa /;ne, wbfch newspaser <br />was designated by sold board of Trustees for that purpose, <br />ali in accordance '~Ith and ss. req~Ired by law; and <br /> <br /> Whereas, the City Clerk mailed postal cards in the <br />manner and form. reqnired ~nd directed by Ordinance of <br />Intertion No. ?40, and ~V t+~e Street OpeninF Act of 1903; <br />~d whereas, ~t t~e ti~e sad place set for protest, said <br />City Clerk advised the Board of Trustees that 'there were <br />no protests against the said improvement; and the said <br />Board of Trustees so found the fact to be end by their <br />Resolution declared that t~,ere were no protests; and where- <br />as, the time within which protests might be filed against <br />ssld improvement had expired. <br /> <br /> Now Th~refore, the Board of Trustees of the City <br />~ ~anta Aha do:ordain as follows: <br /> <br /> ~ECTION I.
