<br />the terms of such order, or failing therein, that the advance
<br />payment on such order be refunded. Any person aggrieved by the
<br />action of any such solicitor shall have a right of action on the
<br />bond for the recovery of money or damages, or both. Such bond
<br />shail remain in full force and effect, and in case of a cash de-
<br />posit, such deposit shall be retained by the City of Santa Ana
<br />
<br /> days after the expiration of any such
<br />
<br />for a period of ninety

<br /> shall not apply to any employee, agent
<br /> representative of any person, firm or corporation that is paying.
<br /> a vocational tax to the City of Santa Ana as specified in this
<br /> Ordinance.

<br /> 8. That Ordinance No. 658 of the City of Santa Ana,
<br />and that Section 68.thereof which reads: "For every person,
<br />firm, or corporation, conducting, managing, or carrying on a
<br />stand in or upon any public street, alley or other public place,
<br />or doorway of any room or building, for the sale or candy, pea-
<br />nuts, pop-corn, chewing gum, ice cream, or other confection, or
<br />for sharpening razors, or performing other mechanical work,S3.00
<br />per quarter".

<br /> "For every person, firm, or corporation, conducting,
<br />managing or carrying on a stand in any door way of any room or
<br />building, for the sale of candy, peanuts, pop-corn, chewing gum,
<br />ice cream, or other confections, or for sharpening razors or
<br />performing other mechanical work, $3.00 per quarter".

<br /> 9. That Ordinance No. 658 of the City of Santa Ana
<br />shall be amended by the addition of Section 92-A which shall
<br />read as follows: "For every person, firm, or corporati'on ens~d
<br />in or conducting the business of leasing, selling, renting or
<br />otherwise handling or placing any slot machines, on whi~ pre-
<br />miums either of counter checks or articles of merchandise may be
<br />paid in excess of the merchandise rendered by the machine for
<br />actual value, $40.00 per year per machine.
<br />
<br /> ~ovided further, that the person paying the prescr~edi
<br />tax may move the machine upon which said tax is paid to any rea-
<br />sonable location in the said City without the payment of any
<br />additional license fee.
<br />
<br /> That each and every section or part of section, of
<br />Ordinance No. 658 & 710,not expressly repealed, amended, or
<br />added to by this Ordinance shall be and remain in full force and
<br />effect, and if any section of this ordinance shall be declared
<br />invalid by a Court of competent jurisdiction, that each and
<br />every other section thereof shall remain in full force and ef~ec~
<br />
<br /> §ECTION II. The City Clerk shall cause this Ordinance
<br />to be published three (~) times in the Santa Ana Daily Evening
<br />Register, a daily newspaper of general circulation, p~blished
<br />and circulated in the said City, and it shall ta~e effect thirty
