828 <br /> <br />(5) ^t any curb'within fifteen (1S) Feet of a fire <br /> <br />hydrant. <br /> <br /> (8) Within twenty (20) feet of <br />immediately opposite the mid block end of <br /> <br />a point on the curb <br />any safety Zone. <br /> <br /> (7) At any place within fifteen (1S) feet of an in- <br /> tersection in the Central Traffic District, or in any business <br /> district except at designated bus stops, and that the ~perator <br /> of no vehicle other than duly authorized busses shall stop in <br /> <br /> area designate~ a~ a ~us stop~ <br /> the <br /> <br /> The Street Superintendent is hereby authorized and <br /> <br /> required to paint and maintain a red line stenciled with white <br /> letters "No Stmnding" upon the top of all curb leugths indlca- <br /> ted in Paragraphs 8, 8 and 7 of this Section. <br /> <br /> Section XXV. Standing for Loading Only in Certain <br /> <br /> Places <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful for the operator of a vehicle <br /> <br />to stop said vehicle for a period of time longer than is neces- <br />sary for the loading or unloading of passengers or materials, <br />providing that the loading or unloading of passengers shsZl <br />consume more than three (3) minutes, nor the loading or unload- <br />lng of materials more than twenty (20) minutes in the following <br /> <br /> designated places: <br /> <br /> (15 At a curb where the grade of the street exceeds <br /> <br /> twelve (12~) per cent; <br /> <br /> (~) In any loading zone; <br /> <br /> (E) At any curb within twenty-five (28) feet of the <br /> <br /> entrance to any hospital; <br /> <br /> (~) At any curb within fifty (SO) feet of the en- <br /> <br /> trance to any police station; <br /> <br /> The Superintendent of Streets is hereby authorized <br /> <br /> to determine the exact location of loading zones, provided <br /> that not more than one-half (~) of the total curb length of any <br /> block in the Central Traffic District or in any business dis- <br /> trict, shall be reserved for loading zone, where, in s~d block, <br /> the distance between the curb line and the center of the road- <br /> way, or between the curb llne and the outer tall of any street <br /> car track is less than fifteen (lE) feet, and that not more than <br /> one-fourth (~) of the total length of any curb between intersec- <br /> tions in any one block in the Central Traffic District, or in <br /> any business district, shall be reserved for a loading zone. <br /> <br /> Said Street Superintendent is herebE further autho- <br /> <br /> rized and required to paint and maintain a yellow llne stencile8 <br /> in black letters "Loading Only" upon the tops of all curbs and <br /> places specified in this section, or shall place a marker which <br /> shall be not more than one (1) foot in height upon the curb at <br /> each end of the limit of loading zone, which said marker shall <br /> state in letters clearly legible "Loading Only", and the number <br /> of this Ordinance. <br /> <br /> <br />
