898 <br /> <br /> to the office of the City Assessor shall be transferred to and per- <br /> formed by the Clerk of said City of Santa Aha; and all duties, other <br /> than the collecting of taxes, belonging to the office of City Tax <br /> Collector shall be transferred to and be performed by the City Marshal <br /> of said City, and thereafter the office of City Assessor and City Tax <br /> Collector may be by ordinance abolished. <br /> <br /> Section 8. Whenever any real property situate in the City <br />of Santa Aha after it has aviiled itself of the provisions of this act <br />has been sold for taxes and has been redeemed, the money paid for such <br />redemption shall be apportioned by the County Treasurer to said City of <br />Santa Aha in the proportion which the tax due to said city bears to the <br />total tax for which such real property was ~old. <br /> <br /> Section 9. Ordinance No. 419 of the City of Santa Ana entit- <br />led: "An Ordinance providing for the assessment of property and for <br />the levy and collection of taxes in, by and for the use of the City of <br />Santa Aha for municipal purposes", and all ordinances pr parts of <br />ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed, provided <br />however, that ~his ordinance shall not affect the collection and sale <br />of property for taxes for the fiscal year 1914-15. <br /> <br /> Section 10. The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance to be <br />published once in the "Evening Blade" a daily newspaper printed, pub- <br />lished and generally circulated in the said City of Santa Ana and thirty <br />days thereafter it shall'take effect and be in fc~ce." <br /> <br /> AND THE SAME, AND ALL OF SAID ORDINANCE, AS IS SET FORTH <br />HEREI~ABOVE IS HEREBY REPEALED. <br /> <br /> SECTION II. It is further ordained that the repeal of Ordi-' <br />hence Mumber 592 shall not effect the collection of taxes for the fiwcal <br />year 1926-1927 or the sale of property when the taxes thereon are de- <br />linquent as provided by law. <br /> <br /> SECTION III. The City Clerk shall ~rtify to the adoption <br /> <br />of this ordinance and cause the same to be published three times in <br />the Santa Aha Daily Evening Register, and it shall be in full force <br />and effect (30) days ~fter its first publication. <br /> <br /> I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was regularly <br />introduced and read at its adjourned regular meeting held on the 2§th <br />day of October, 1926, and passed at its regular meeting held on the <br />1st day of November, 1926, by the fo~.lowing vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees <br /> <br />C.H.
