attending facts, shall ex~rcise a reasonable and sound <br />discretion in granting or denying the permit applied for, <br />provided further, that such sale at ~blic auction shall be <br />held on successive days, Sundays and legal holidays excepted, <br />and shall not continue for more than thirty (30) days in all <br />from the commencement of the sale, and sh~ll be permitted <br />only where such merchant is bona fide disposing of his stock <br />for the purpose of retiring from business; and that said <br />auction shall~be conducted during the day time between the <br />hours of six and eight o'clock. <br /> <br /> That every pePson, limn or corporation conducting, <br />managing or carrying on, or engaged in the business of sell- <br />ing at public auction, goods, wares or merchandise shall pay <br />a license fee of $10.00 per day, payable daily in advance. <br /> <br /> That every person, firm or corporation conducting, <br />managing or carrying on, or engaged in t~e ousiness of sell- <br />ing at public auction any chattels other than goods, wares <br />or merchandise, shall pay a license fee of $10.00 per month, <br />payable in advance. <br /> <br /> SECTION III. That each and every section or part <br /> of section of Ordinance No. 658, as amended, not expressly <br /> repealed by this Ordinance shall be and remain in full force <br /> and effect. <br /> <br /> The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of an( <br /> cause the same to be published three (3) times in the Santa <br /> Aha Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper of general <br /> circulation published and circulated in the said City and it <br /> shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date of the fir: <br /> ~ublication thereof. <br /> <br /> The foregoing ordinance is approved this 25th da <br /> of April,.1927~ <br /> <br /> F.
