2O2 ORDINANCE NO. 912, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 78~ REGULATING THE COLLECTION, REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF GARBAGE IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA. The City Council of the City of Santa Aha do ordain as follows: Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 785 is. hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 1. For the purposes of this ordinance the word "garbage" is defined to be all animal refuse, except that used in the m~uufacture of b~- products; all vegetable refuse, wh£ch shall include lettuce trimmings, cabbage trimmings from vegeta~le~; all kitchen or household waste that shall have been prepared for or intended to be used as food, or shall have resulted from the preparation of food." Section 2. That in all other particulars the said Ordinance No. 785 shall remain and be in full force and effect. Section 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance, and cause the same to be published three (3) times in the Santa Aha Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Santa Aha. Section 4. That this is an ordinance for the tr~mediate Preservation of the public health, in this, that certain individuals are hauling garbage within the above classification through the streets of the City of Santa Aha, and there is danger to the health of the inhabitants of said City unless such practice is prohibited, and for that reason this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its final passage and adoption.
