<br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR HOLDING A GENERAL MUNICIPAL
<br />ELECTION IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, ON THE
<br />13th DAY OF APRIL, 1931, FOR THE ELECTION OF CITY
<br />OFFICERS IN SAID CITY, AND VOTING UPON THE PROPOSITION
<br />FOR THE INCREASE 0F THE SALARIES 0F THE MEMBERS OF THE
<br />CITY COUNCIL; GIVING NOTICE OF SAID ELECTION; DESIGNATING
<br />THE POLLING PLACES, THE HOURS DURING WHICH THE POLLS SHALL
<br />BE OPENED, THE OFFICERS TO BE ELECTEd, AND APPOINTING
<br />ELECTION OFFICERS TO SERVE AT SAID ELECTION.

<br />The City Council of the City of Santa Aha do Ordain as follows:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. A general municipal election shall be held in the City of Santa
<br />Aha, California, by the qualified electors of said City, on the second Monday, in
<br />April, 1931, the same being the tSth day of April, 1951, for the election of the follow-
<br />ing named officers:
<br />
<br /> 1. A board of five (5) trustees, to be known as the City Council, for the
<br />term of four (4) years.
<br />
<br /> 2. A Beard of Education, to consist of five (5) members, for the term of
<br />four (4) years.
<br />
<br /> 3. A Recorder, who shall be known as the City Judge, for a term of four (4)
<br />years.
<br />
<br /> A. A Treasurer for the term of four (4) years.
<br />
<br /> §. A Clerk, for the term of four (4) years.
<br />
<br /> 8. An Attorney for the term of four (4) years.
<br />
<br /> ?~i~ A Ma~bal, who shall be known as the Chief of Police, for the ter~ef
<br />years.
<br />
<br /> Section 2. There will~ be thirty-two (32) voting precincts for the purpose
<br />of holding said election, consisting of a consolidation of the regular election
<br />precincts established for holding the last general State and County election as follows:
<br />
<br /> Consolidated Vot_2~ Precinct No..~, comprising State and County Precincts
<br />Nos. 1 and 2, and the polling Place ther--~f shall be at the Willard Junior High School
<br />Building, situated on North Main Street, between Ninth and Tenth Streets.
<br />
<br /> Consolidated Voting Precinct No. 2. comprising State and County Precincts Nos.
<br />3 and 49; and the Polltng-~'~ce thereof-~ha~i be in the Y.M.C.A. Building, 205 Church
<br />Street~.

<br /> Consolidated Vot_~ Precinct No. 3. comprising State and County Precincts Nos
<br />47 and 48; and the pollingplace thereof sha~l be at the Chamber of Commerce Building,
<br />608 North Broadway.
<br />
<br /> .Consolidated Voting Precinct No. 4. comprising State and County Precincts No:
<br />50 and §1, and the poll~-~-~ace thereo~'-~ha-~l be at the Jefferson School Building on
<br />West Seventeenth Street between Ross and Durant Streets.

<br /> Consolidated Voting Precinct No. 5. comprising State and County Precincts Nos.
<br />4 and 18; and the polling-~-~ce thereofs~a~Tbe at the City H~ll, corner of Third and
<br />Main Streets.
<br />
<br /> ~onsolidated Voting ,P,.~ecinct No. 6, comprising State and County Precincts Nos
<br />5 and 23; and the polli~--"~l~ce thereofs~a~be at the Garage-Building, on the South-
<br />east corner of Main and Myrtle Streets.

<br />35 and 36, and the polling place thereo2 s~na~I1 be at the American Legion Hall, on Birch
<br />Street between Third and Fourth Streets.

<br /> Consolidated Voting Prec~nc,~ No. 8. comprising State and County Precincts Nos,
<br />33 and 34; and the polling place thereof shall be at the Shop Building of the Polytechn~
<br />High School, situated on West Walnut Street.
<br />
<br /> Consolidated Voting Precinct No. 9. co, rising State and County Precincts Nos
<br />10 and ll; and the polling place thereof shall be at the Hoover School Building,
<br />situated on East Santa Clara Avenue between Bush Street and Santiago Avenue.

<br /> Consolidated Voting Precinct No. 10.comprising State and County Precincts Nos
<br />12 and 13; and the poll~ace-~oi~-~a-~ be at the Lincoln School Building,
<br />situated on FrenchStreet between Fourteenth amd Fif~eemth Streets.
<br />
<br /> C. onsolidated Voting Precinct Nc. 11. comprising State and County Precincts
<br />Nos. 14 and 15; and thepo~ngp~te~eo--~-shall be at Wright~s Garage, 851 Minter
<br />Street.
<br />
<br /> Consolidated Voting Precinct No. 12. comprising State and County Precincts
<br />Nos. 17 and 22, and the po~ng p~thereof shall be at the John Muir School Building
<br />situated on East Fourth Street between Grand Avenue and Eastside.
<br />
<br /> Consolidated Voting Precinct No. ~ comprising State and County Precincts
<br />Nos. 16, 19 and 21; and~o~--~ace thereof shall be at the Garage Building,
<br />East Fourth Street.
