348 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 990 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE CLOSING HOURS OF <br />PUBLIC DANCES, DANCE HALLS AND DANCE CLUBS IN <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, ORANGE COL~3~ AND PRE- <br />SCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF ANT OF THE <br />PROVISIONS OF SAID ORDINANCE. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Santa Ana ordains as follows: <br />SECTION 1: It shall be ~lawful for any person, firm or corporation, <br />as principal, agent, officer or employee, to manage, conduct, or permit on any <br />premises owned or controlled by him or it, any public dance between the hours <br />of 12:00 midnight and 6 A.M. of the same day. <br /> <br /> ~ECTION Z: Any person, firm or corporation, who shall violate any of <br />the provisions of this ordinance, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon <br />conviction shall be punished by a fine of not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars <br />($505.00), or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period of not exceeding <br />six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this <br />Ordinance, and cause the same to be published three (3) times in the "Santa Aha <br />Daily Evening Register", a daily newspaper, printed, published and generally <br />circulated in the City of Santa Aha, and the same shall take effect and be in <br />force thirty days after the first publication thereofe <br /> <br /> The foregoing Ordinance is signed and approved by me this 2nd day of <br />April, 1934. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />E.
