<br /> in the City of Ssnta Ana, and personal service of such notice cannot be made, upon
<br /> either of them in the manner herein provided in said City, then a copy of such notice
<br /> shall be mailed, postage fully prepaid, addressed to such holder of such permit at his
<br /> place of business or residence, if knovm, at least three days prior to the dste of such
<br /> hearing, and if not known, then such copy of such notice shall be so mailed, addressed
<br /> to such person in the City of Santa Ana.

<br /> SECTION 3. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to
<br />conduct, maintain or carry on a public dance hall in the City of Santa Ana without a
<br />permit therefor first granted, as provided in Section I of this ordinance.
<br />
<br /> SECTION 4. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or coroorstion conduct-
<br />ing, maintaining or carrying on a oublic dance hall, or having charge or control
<br />thereof, or for any person employed in and about the same, to hold, conduct or carry
<br />on, or to cause or permit to be held, conducted or carried on any dance or dancing in
<br />any such oub!ic dance hall in the City of Santa Ana between the hours of Twelve o'clock
<br />P.M. of any day and six o'clock A.I~. of the next day, or on any Sunday, except, upon
<br />specisl permission in writing, signed by the Chief of Police of said City.

<br /> SECTION 5. It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age of sixteen (16)
<br />years to enter or remain, or for any per,on, firm or corporation, conducting, maint~inin~
<br />or carrying on a public dance ha!l, or having charge o~ control thereof, to permit to
<br />be admitted to or remain in such oubtic dance hall, or to dance therein, any minor
<br />under the age of sixteen years, at any time while a dance or dancing is in progress or
<br />being held, conducted or carried on therein, unless said minor is accompanied and under
<br />
<br /> at'all times while in said dance hall, of its parent or parents or legal
<br />

<br />lighting or illuminating halls or rooms of like dimensions in the night time for cub!lc
<br />assemblies, while any person is admitted or present therein or while any dance or
<br />dancing is permitted therein.

<br /> I~shall be unlawful for any person to shut or turn off the lights or
<br />lighting, or to reduce the intensity thereof below the minimu~ in this section prescribe8
<br />in any public dsnce hall at any time after sunset of any day while a dance or dancing is
<br />in progress or being conducted therein, or during any recess or other intermission in
<br />such ~ance or dancing.

<br /> SECTION 8. It shall be unlawful for any person, as principal, agent or other-
