<br />Section 9. That Section 4806, paragraph 3, shall be changed to read as follows

<br /> "The lowest part of any movable awning or hood frame shall be not less than
<br />seven feet (?') above the grade immediately below, ~hd the lowest part of any fringe
<br />attached to such awning or hood shall be not less than six feet six inches (6'6") above
<br />the grade i~ediatelybelow. No drop shall be attached ~hichvlolates this required
<br />height.

<br /> "Awnings of a ~lide rod, rake pull, or stationary type, where the wall of
<br />awning is greater than the projection over the sidewalks, shall be installed with Jack
<br />chains. Chains shall be of su?ficient size to withstand the load placed thereon."

<br /> Section 10. That Ordinance No. 1090, entitled "An Ordinance of the City of
<br />Santa Aha Regulating the Erection, Construction, Repair, Enlargement, Alteration, Removal
<br />Demolition, Sanitation, and Occupancy of all Buildings and Structures in said City,
<br />Providing for Permits and Penalties Thereunder and Repealing Ordinance No. 1054", ~s
<br />hereby repealed.
<br />
<br /> Section 11. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this
<br />Ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect
<br />the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. The City Council hereby
<br />declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each section, subsection, seutence,
<br />clause, or phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, sub-
<br />sections, sentences, clauses, and phrases be declared unconstitut~on~l.
<br />
<br /> Section 12. The City Clerk shall certify to the pass?ge of this Ordinance
<br />and shall cause the same to be published in three consecutive issues of the Santa Ana
<br />Register, a newspaper printed, published and c~a-culated in the City of Santa Ana, md
<br />hereby designated for that purpose. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30)
<br />days from andafter its adoption.
