302 <br /> <br /> "For all plastering over three thousand square yards (3,000 sq. yds.) <br />one-quarter cent per square yard. <br /> <br /> "(b) A fee of $6.00 shall be charged for all inspections outside the <br />Jurisdiction of the building department. In addition thereto, mileage at the <br />rate of five cents for each mile traveled shall be charged." <br /> <br /> (b) Section 204 (b), paragraph 1, of said Code shall be changed to <br />read as follows: "Registered Inspector Required. In addition to the inspections <br />made by the Building Inspector as specified in this Section, when in the opinion <br />of the Building Inspector work is of such magnitude or nature that continued <br />inspection is necessary, the owner or his agent shall em~l~ Registered <br />Inspector for full-time inspection on the following types of work: <br /> <br />'~1. Reinforced Concrete. On reinforced concrete work ~hen <br /> the design is based on an f'c in excess of 2,000 pounds. <br /> <br />Masonry. On masonry when the design is based on unit <br />stresses in excess of 50 per cent of those allowed in <br />Chapter 24. <br /> <br />"3. Welding. On all structural welding." <br /> <br />(c) That Section 306, paragraph 2, is hereby amended to read as follows <br /> <br /> "Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of <br />this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, mad upon conviction thereof shall <br />be punished by a fine not exceeding $300.00 and by imprisonment in the County Jall <br />for a period not exceeding 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each <br />and every day of the continuance of any violation of this ordnance shall be <br />deemed to be a separate offense. <br /> <br /> (d) That the second paragraph, or last two lines, of Section 252?, <br />and the fifth paragraph of Section 3105, are hereby mmended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Minimum clearance between bottom of floor Joists and the gro~md beneath <br />shall be twent~four inches (24"). The ground underneath floor Joist shall be <br />leveled or smoothed off so as to maintain a reasonably even surface under the <br />entire area covered by the floor Joists. <br /> <br /> "Where basements are not provided there shall be at least one opening <br />through the exterior foundation walls not less than sixteen inches by twenty-four <br />inches (16" x 24") with a movable door or screened vent. If a screened vent is <br />constructed, such opening may be computed as a part of the required ventilation <br />space." <br /> <br /> (e) That Section 3701 of said Code is hereby m~ended by adding thereto <br />the following: <br /> <br /> "Foundations for aL1 chimneys shall extend at least twelve inches (12") <br />below the natural grade line and shall be not less than twelve inches (12") in <br />thickness. Chimneys shall extend at least three feet (3') above flat roofs and <br />at least two feet (2') above a point upon the chimney which measures fifteen feet <br />(15') horizontally from the nearest roof." <br /> <br /> (g) And that Section 3706 of said Code shall be changed in the fourth <br />paragraph to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "No heater burning solid or liquid fuel shall be placed in a fireplace <br />which does not comply with the requirements of this Section. No such heaters <br />shall be connected to a gas vent flue. <br /> <br /> "No combustible material shall extend beyomd a line beginning at a point <br />established on the floor of the fire box, centered between the sides thereof and <br />six inches (6") in from the outside face of the fireplace opening, and projected <br />past the sides and top of arch of the fire box. Provided, however, that no <br />combustible material shall be permitted to be placed less than six inches (6") <br />from the top or sides of the fireplace opening." <br /> <br /> Section 7. (a) That Subdivision (b) of Section 2524 of said Code is <br />hereby amended by addlng at the end thereof and as a part of the last sentence <br />thereof, the following, to-wit: <br /> <br /> " ...... provided, however, that no sole or plate shall be O~ for the <br />instal~ tion of any pipe three inches (3") or less in diameter, but for the <br />installation of such pipe, the soles and plates shall be bored with a hole of a <br />size not more than sufficient to permit the inst~lation of said pips." <br /> <br /> (b) That Section 3711 of said Code be amended by adding at the end <br />thereof the following: <br /> <br /> " ..... Any such ventilation system vahen terminating on roof shall be <br />provided with a vent cap or hood. All such vent caps or hoods, and all gas water <br />heater vent caps or hoods shall be reverse draft c'irculation proof, and shall be <br />constructed of galvanized sheet iron of not less than No. 26 U.S.gauge, and of a <br />type acceptable to the Building Inspector." <br /> <br /> Section 8. That Section 2204 of said Code be amended by adding at the <br />end of the first paragraph ~he following: <br /> <br /> " ..... Except Group J Occupancies less than four h~dred square feet <br />(400 sq. ft.) all earth or fill shall be maintained or placed not less than four <br /> <br /> <br />
