ORDINANCE~. 1184 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 14 OF ORDINANCE <br /> No. 962 <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section l: That Ordinance No. 982 entitled "An Ordinance Regulating and <br />Licensing the Business of Carrying Passengers for Hire in Motor Vehicles in the City of <br />Santa Ana" be, and the same is hereby amended by amending Section lA thereof, which <br />section shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section lA: Every person, firm or corporation owning and <br /> <br /> operating any taxicab, motor bus or limousine for hire within the <br /> City of Santa Ana shall pay a license fee in the sum of $12.§0 per <br /> quarter for each vehicle operated, and shall obtain a permit therefor <br /> from the City Clerk. Before any person is employed to drive any such <br /> vehicle, he shall make application to the City Clerk for a driver's <br /> permit. Each driver shall pay au annual license fee of $3 which shall <br /> accompany the application for a permit, and in the event such application <br /> is not approved, such fee shall be refunded. All licenses or permits <br /> granted pursuant to this ordinance shall be non-transferable." <br /> <br /> Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance <br />~nd shall cause the same to be published in three consecutive issues of the Santa Ana <br />Register, a newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Sasta Ana, and <br />hereby designated for that purpose.
