power of preferring charges against any member of such miscel- <br /> laneous department, in the same manner as set forth in Sections <br /> ll and 1Z(a) of Ordinance ~o. 1058. Such appointee shall serve <br /> <br /> in such capacity at the pleasure of the Board of Trustees." <br />"SECTION ~O~08 NOTICE OF EXANINATIONS. <br /> <br /> Notice of time, place and general scope of every examina- <br /> tion, other than examinations pertaining to the Police or Fire <br /> Departments, shall be posted by the Civil Service Board in a <br /> conspicuous place at the entrance to the City Hall and at the <br /> office of the Chief of each department concerning which an e xam- <br /> ination is to be held for any classified position within such <br /> department, not less than two weeks prior to such examination." <br /> <br />"SECTION 30.07 APPOINTI,~ENT, REDUCTION, SUSPENSION AND <br /> DISCHARGE OF CHIEFS OF DEPARTDRENTS. <br /> <br /> The Chiefs of Departments named under this amendatory <br /> ordinance (excepting elected chiefs of departments, and except- <br /> ing the Chief of the miscellaneous department) shall be appoint- <br /> ed by the Board of Trustees or City Council either from within <br /> or from without the Classified Service, but after appointment they <br /> shall be removed or reduced in rank only as provided herein. <br /> Whenever the Chairr~an of the Board of Trustees shall determine <br /> that discharge, reduction in rard~ or disciplinary action should <br /> be taken against any such Chief of a department who is a member <br /> of the Classified Service, he may proceed in the same manner as <br /> may the Chief of any department under Sections ll and l~(a) of <br /> Ordinance ~o. 1056, and thereafter the same proceedings shall <br /> be taken as in said Sections provided, leading to the final dis- <br /> position of such charges." <br />"SECTION 30°08 QUALIFICATIONS OF DEPART~NTS 0Th~H T~W~ THE <br />POLICE AND FI~L~ DEPAHT~i~TS. <br /> <br /> The Civil Service Board shall adopt rules and regulations <br /> governing the qualifications of all appointees, except such <br /> qualifications as are specifically prescribed by said Ordinance <br /> No. 1056." <br /> <br /> <br />
