ORDINANCE NO. 1216 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING WATER RATES AND SERVICE CHARGES IN THE CI_~T OF S~T~ ANA, PRESCRIBING RULES A~ REGULATIONS GOVERNING A?PLICATION~d~D INST~I~.A- TION OF SERVICE AND CO~SU~PTION OF WATER, FIXING THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l: The City of Santa Ann, shall charge and collect, in advance, for each tap and attachment made with its system of water works as follows, to-wit: SERVICE CHARGES For each 3/4 inc~ service, complete ............ $ 25.00 For each i inch service, complete .............. 35.00 For each l½ in. service, complete .............. 60.00 For each 2 inch service, complete .............. 100.00 For all larger sizes of service and all fire lines, actual costs of labor and materials used for service com- plete, plus l0 per cent (10%) shall be charged. SECTION 2: The following rates and co~pensation are hereby fixed and established ~s the monthly rates collected3by the Water Department of furnished by said department. A minimum charge shall be made and compensation to be charged and the City of S~nta Ann for water as a base rate, standby, or readiness to serve charge for each size of service connection as follows: MINIMUM ~ETER RATES For each 5/8" or ~/~" service .................. $ 1.35 For each l" service ............................ 1.75 For each 1½" service ........................... 3.10 For each 2" service ...................... · ..... 4.45 For each 3" service ............................ 6.50 For each ~" service ............................ 9.80 For each 6" service ............................ 1~.75 That the actual meter rates to be charged when the amount to be charged is not less than the foregoing minimum rates are as follows: METER RATES in any 1.
