Said City Council has determined and declared that the contemplated acquisition and work or improvement hereinbefore mentioned was, in the opinion of the City Council, of more than local or ordinary public benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses of the said acquisition and work or improvement chargeable upon a district. For the particular description of the said assessment district reference is hereby made to the said Resolution of Intention No. 62-156. Said City Council has determined and declared serial bonds extending over a period of nine (9) years from the second da of January next succeeding the next September 1st following their date, and bearing interest at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum, payable semi-annually, shall be issued as provided by the "Improvement Act of 1911" hereafter referred to, to represent assessments of ($50.00) or more for the cost of said proposed work and improvement, remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date of recording the warrant. That all of the work and improvement herein proposed shall be done and carried through in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California designated as "The Improvement Act of 1911", being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. The City Clerk of the said City is hereby directed to post conspicuously for ten (10) days on or near the chamber door of the said City Council in the manner and form required by said Code, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered and the said City Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in the Register, a daily newspaper, printed, published and circulated in said City, and hereby designated for that purpose by the City Council, a notice inviting such proposals or bids for -2-
