RESOLUTION NO. 62-199 INITIATING A SUBSTITUTION <br />PROCEEDING TO S~STITUTE A NEW PUBLIC PARKING LOT <br />FOR THE EXISTING PARKING LOT IN VEHICLE PARKING <br />DISTRICT NO. i IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, heretofore a Vehicle Parking Districtwas formed under <br />the Vehicle Parking District Law of 1943, was given the name and <br />numerical designation of VEHICLE PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1} by Ordinance <br />No. NS-?6 the exterior boundaries of said District were fixed and <br />established, and thereafter the initial assessment was levied, the <br />real property was acquired and improved and has since been used as a <br />public parking lot, hereinafter referred to as the "old property"~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it now appears that because of change in circumstances <br />since the levy of the initial assessment that a substitution proceeding <br />is desirable and may be necessary to acquire, improve and establish a <br />new parking lot in a new location and to dispose of the "old property". <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITYCOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANADOES <br />RESOLVE, FIND AND DECLARE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the name and number of the Parking District herein <br /> referred to was and is VEHICLE PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1, and <br /> that its exterior boundaries were fixed by Ordinance <br /> No. NS-?6. <br /> <br /> 2. That it is proposed, by way of substitution, to sell the <br /> existing Parking Lot known as the "old property" located <br /> on the South side of Sixth Street, between Bus. and <br /> Spurgeon Streets, and to acquire and improve for vehicle <br /> parking use real property located on the South side of <br /> Fifth Street, between Bush and Spurgeon streets, herein <br /> referred to as the "new proporty", which would have <br /> approximately the same area but be of irregular shape <br /> because of the vesting of title to the parcels of land <br /> involved. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
