RESOLUTION NO. 62-205 CLAIM OF JAMES E. PEPPER <br />CONCEBNING WEED ABATEMENT ASSESS~IENT <br /> <br /> WHERFAS~ THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF SANTA ANA DID, BY RESOLUTION NO. <br />62-146, authorize the 0r~nge County Tax Collector to assess Mr. James E. Pepper, <br />owner of a lot identified by the Orange County Assessor as Parcel 16-160-50 <br />in Area 11-015, the sum of $15.31 for destroying weeds on said property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Pepper has filed a claim against the City in the amount of <br />$15.31 based on the fact that no weeds were in fact destroyed on said property; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, investigation by City employees determined that the charge for <br />abating the weed nuisance on said property was in fact erroneous; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the City Attorney has opined that the claim filed byMr. Pepper <br />is Just aud payable; NOW ~fIEREFORE, <br /> <br /> THIS COUNCIL DOES AUTHORIZE ~E CANCELLATION OR REFUND OF THE ASSESSMENT <br />AGAINST PARCEL 16-160-50 IN THE AMOUNT OF $15.31 AND DIRECTS THAT THE CLERK OF <br />THE COUNCIL FILE A CERTIFIED COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION WITH THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br />OF ORANGE COUNTY AND WITH THE ORANGE COUNTY AUDITOR. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa A_ua at its <br />regular meeting held on the ~day of ~, 1962. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />C~ERK OF ~5{E dOUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF O~WANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, DORIS BROWN, do hereby certify that I am the Clerk of the Council of <br />the City of Santa Ama; that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced to <br />said Council at its regular meeting held on the _19_l~day of _~, 1962, <br />and was at said meeting regularly passed and adopted by the following vote, to-wit: <br /> <br />AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hubbard, Schlueter, Gilmore, Brewer, Hall <br /> <br />NOES, COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br />ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br /> <br />
