RESOLUTION NO. 63-40 AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION <br />OF~REAL PROPERTY FOR THE EASTERLY EXTENSION <br />OF ALTON STREET ACROSS HALLADAY STREET AND <br />RESCINDING RE~OLUTION NO. 63-15 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Alton Street as it now exists dead-ends West of <br />Halladay Street, is inadequate to satisfy the present demand for <br />East-West traffic in this industrial area of the City, and is not <br />adequate to provide for traffic circulation in the area. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana hereby finds and determines that public <br />interest and necessity require that Alton Street be extended to and <br />across Halladay Street, and further require that said City do have <br />and acquire an easement for street purposes over, through and across <br />certain land in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of <br />California, described as: <br /> <br />PARCEL 1: <br /> <br /> Lot 26 in Block A of Seccombe Addition to Dyer, as <br />shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 8, Page 17, <br />Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County; <br /> <br />EXCEPTING the North 34 feet thereof. <br /> <br />PARCEL 2: <br /> <br /> A strip of land cc~mencing at the Southwest corner <br />of Lot 26 in Block A above described; thence South 0° 40' <br />East 18.5 feet to the South line of the Northeast quarter <br />of the Southwest quarter of Section 30, in Township 5 <br />South, Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; <br />thence along said South line 140 feet to a point on the <br />West line of Harbor Road extended South; thence North <br />0° 40' West 18.4 feet, to the Southeast corner of said <br />Lot 26; and thence West 140 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />PARCEL 3: <br /> <br /> Lot 26 in Block B of Seccombe Addition to Dyer, in <br />the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, <br />as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 8, Page 17, <br />Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County; <br /> <br />PARCEL 4: <br /> <br /> A strip of land commencing at the Southeast corner of <br />said Lot 26 in Block B; running thence South 0° 40' East <br />18.2 feet to the South line of the Northeast quarter of <br />the Southwest quarter of Section 30, in Township 5 South, <br />Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence <br />West along the South line, 140 feet to a point on the East <br />line of Harbor Road, extended South; thence North 0° 40' <br />West 18.3 feet, more or less, to the Southwest corner of <br />Lot 26 in Block B; thence East 140 feet to the point of <br />beginning. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> 1.
