Shopshire and Lettie H. and Walter <br /> ShoPshire, 502 West Fourth Street, was received and filed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, the reques~i <br /> of DeVote, Fox & DeVote, owners of Tract 1598 that street lights be <br /> installed over the intersections of South Lowell Street and Occidenta~i <br /> Street, South Towner and Occidental Street, South Park Drive and <br /> Occidental Street, West Edinger Street and South Park Drive, and one <br /> on South Park Drive midway between West Edinger and Occidental Street, <br /> <br />was referred to the City Engineer with power to act. <br /> ,, <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, communicatiiOns <br />from H.R.Brown Colonial Mortuary and Winbigler Mortuary protesting ' <br />the curtailment of funeral escort service rendered by the Police <br />Department and urging that a plan of procedure be formulated which <br />would be acceptable to all concerned, were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and 'carried, communicatien <br />from Griffenhagen & Associatms outlining a program of service in <br />connection with the prepargtion of a City Charter, over a period of <br />three and one-half months, as well as a statement of fee for the <br />program, was received and filed. It was moved by Truste~ Dahl, <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, that the City accept the offer of <br />Griffenhagen & Associates to undertake the preparation of a Charter, <br />at a fee of $3800.00, without the time limit. A committee composed <br />of the Administrator, Mayor and Attorney was instructed to prepare an <br />agreement covering the project and proper officials authorized to <br />execute same. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Christian Service Organization, Inc. <br />requesting that three small road signs be attached to the street lamps i <br />or poles located on the three main thoroughfares and two sidewalk sign~ <br />be provided for the downtown sector, and on motion of Trustee Hunter, <br />seconded by Dahl and carried, the request was referred to the City <br />Engineer with power to act. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Better Business Bureau and on motion of <br /> <br />Trustee Hunter, seconded b~ Jerome and carried, the application of <br /> <br /> <br />
