On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by <br /> <br /> McBride and carried, the communication was received and filed. <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion cf Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the claim <br /> of Helen C. Manning, in the sum of $50,000.00 for alleged injuries <br /> sustained in-a fall which occurred on the sidewalk on the south side <br /> of Russell Street, Just west of Main Street, was referred to the City <br /> <br /> Attorney and Insurance Carrier. <br /> # <br /> On motion of T~ustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the claim! <br /> of Howard ~utler, in the sum cf $250.00 for damages to automobile <br /> <br /> when a fire maintained by City officers, agents and employees nea~ <br /> the City Dump caused or permitted horses belonging to Bud Thompson to <br /> escape from the corral and proceed onto, over and across Harbor <br /> <br /> Boulevard, was referred to the City Attorney and Insurance Carrier. <br /> . <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Administrator and Department Heads was approved <br /> for salary advancement in Step Plan of Helen Meyers, Secretary; <br /> F.L.Thompson, Painter; J.L.Swatzel, Equipment Operator and Don Harrison, <br /> <br />Account Clerk III. <br /> . <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br />applications of Ralph Clark and Robert Baer, to drive taxicabs, were <br />received, filed and permits granted. <br /> <br />The Administrator verbally reported on the suggested plan of the Aetna <br />Life Insurance Company for employees of the Fire Department and stated <br />that the additional work of handling deductions in the Payroll Depart- <br />ment would amount to approximately four hours per month at a cost of <br />not more than $5.70 per month. On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded <br />by Dahl and carried, the request of the employees of the Fire Depart- <br />ment for insurance plan of the Aetna Life Insurance Company was <br />approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />Administrator was directed to draft a statement of policy to be sub- <br />mitted to the Council at the next meeting in regard to the payroll <br />deductions on group insurance. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />Administrator was directed to prepare an outline of alternative policies <br />controlling the acceptability of annexations to the City of Santa And <br />and matter of proposed annexation of the area south of Dyer Road and <br /> <br />east of Main Street. was deferred for further study. <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
