<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Jerome,
<br />seconded by Hunter and carried, the bid of Home Oil Company was
<br />accepted, as the lowest responsible bidder, for the furnishing of
<br />gasoline, for one year, beginning May l, 1952 and ending April 30,
<br />1953, and all other bids rejected.

<br />On motion of T~ustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br />followingResolution entitled:

<br /> "Resolution of the City Council of the City
<br /> of Santa Aha determining that public interest
<br /> and necessity require the acquisition of a
<br /> right-of-way for outfall sewer purposes"
<br />
<br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 52-29 and passed by
<br />
<br />the following vote:

<br /> COmmunication was read from Planning Commission reference annexation
<br /> petition involving a small parcel on North Main Street and recommend-
<br /> ing approval of annexation provided the description is made to tie to
<br /> the existing city limit line and that the description is revised to
<br /> include that portion of North Main Street between the existing city
<br /> limit line and the westerly projection of the north line of the parcel
<br /> described in petition. On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by
<br /> McBride and carried, the petition was referred to the Administrator
<br /> and City Attorney for recommendation at the next meeting.
<br />
<br />John M. Hoy, appeared before the Council requesting that the sixty
<br />foot lots shown on Tentative 'Map of Tract No. 1531 be reduced to fifty
<br />foot lots, which involves the extension of Wes~ 7th Street west of
<br />Hawley Street. On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by McBride and
<br />carried, the request was approved subject to the approval of the
<br />Planning Commission.

<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Dahl,
<br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the bid of the United States Pipe and
<br />Foundry Company, in the amount of $17875.00, was accepted as the
<br />lowest responsible bidder, for the furnishing of 5000 feet of 12 inch,
<br />Class 150, Bell and Spigot, cement lined, cast iron water pipe, f.o.b.
<br />Santa Fe Railway tracks, and all other bids rejected.
<br />
<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Dahl,
<br />seconded by Jerome and oa~ried, the bid of the Crook Company, in the
<br />amount of $15,635.40, was accepted for the furnishing of One Model 550
<br />Adams Motor Grader, f.o.b. Santa Ana, and all other bids rejected.
<br />
<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of T~ustee Dahl,
<br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the bid of the Dow Chemical Company,
<br />in the amount of $4.26 per 100 lbs. delivered, was accepted, for the
<br />furnishing of between 400,000 and 600,000 pounds of chlorine for the
<br />Joint Outfall Sewert and all other bids rejected.
