Hunter, Milfor~ W. Dahl, <br />Courtney R. Chandler. <br />None <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the <br />Minutes of May 5, 1952, reading of the Minutes was dispensed <br />with and approved on motion cf Trustee Jerome, seconded by <br /> <br />Hunter and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Amend. Application <br />Reclassify property <br />Nc.side 17th St. E. <br />of Towner and lying <br />btn 17th St. and <br />alley - Allison Honer <br />(hearing date) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing protests to reclassify f~om R-2 <br />District to R-3 District a parcel of land on the north side of West <br />Seventeenth Street extending from a point approximately 115 feet west <br />of Towner Street to a point approximately $99 feet east of Towner <br />Street an~ lying between Seventeenth Street and the alley north thereof, <br />R. Thomas McLean and Russell Nelson stated their reasons for obJecting!~ <br />to the reclassification of the property. On motion of Trustee McBride, <br /> <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the recommendation of the Planning <br /> <br />Commission was approved and the City Attorney instructed to prepare <br /> <br />Ordinance to reclassify the property described in Planning Commission <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />J.F. McOowan etux <br /> <br />Resolution No. 435. <br />. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending that <br /> <br />variance application of J.F. and Dorothea E. McCowan be denied to <br /> <br />permit automobile parking on Lot 22 and to permit automobile parking <br /> <br />within required yard areas on all parcels except Lot 23 and on Lot 23 <br /> <br />to permit waiving of market building area limitations and waiving of <br /> <br />front, side and rear yard requirements for such building, being prop- <br /> <br />erty located on the southeast corner of Bristol and Fairview Avenues. <br /> <br />Mrs. John H. Burgess, Mrs. Golda Van Cleef, George L. Dudley and J.Og~en <br /> <br />Markel, the contractor, stated their reasons ~or favoring the variance. <br /> <br />Mr. and ~s. D.E.Fairbanks and Mrs. E.J.Em~y protested the establish- <br /> <br />ment of the automobile parking lot. On motion of Trustee McBride, <br /> <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the matter was taken under advisement <br /> <br />for further study until next meeting and applicant instructed to submit <br /> <br />In Re <br />Ordinance No. 13~4 <br />Amend "Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code" <br />regulating frequency ' <br />of applications for <br />and notice given on <br />public hearings <br />(Plann. Comm.) <br /> <br />detailed plans of the construction involved. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, <br /> <br />lng Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"An Ordinance to amend "Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code" by amending Sections 9116 and 9116.1 <br />of 0hapter 1 of Article IX regulating the <br />frequency of applications for and notice <br />given on p~blic hearings before the Planning <br />Commission" <br /> <br />the follow- <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 13~ and passed by the <br /> <br />following vote: <br /> <br />In Re <br />Resol.
