<br />On motion of T~ustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br />notifications of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage
<br />applications made by Anne E. and George M. Kipp,. 111 North Main Street
<br />Abe F~ Granas, 1337 North Main St., John C. Jones, 2058 South Main
<br />Street, and Shinjlro Xamamoto, 1313 West Fourth Street, were received
<br />
<br />and filed.

<br />On motion of T~uetee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the
<br />application of Douglas Frank Drobeok to drive taxicabs, was received,
<br />filed and permit granted.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, the request
<br />of the Loyal Order of Moose for permission to erect "Save Our Children
<br />road signs at the entrances to the City, was referred to the
<br />Administrator and Engineer for report.
<br />
<br />On motion of T~ustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, Agreement
<br />between the City and Robert G. Smith for permission to construct an
<br />electric sign at 826 South Main Street, which sign will extend over
<br />and upon the five foot set-back, was referred to the Administrator
<br />and Building Inspector for report.

<br />A petition was read signed by John W. Prentiss et al requesting
<br />annexation to the City of certain uninhabited territory, being a
<br />parcel of land extending along the east line of Main Street 150 feet
<br />north of the north Ci.ty limit line and extending 145.25 ft. east of
<br />the east line of Main Street, and on motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded
<br />by McBride and carrie~, .the City Attorney was instructed to prepare
<br />
<br />Resolution covering the annexation.

<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br />following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution proposing to annex certain territory
<br /> to the City of Santa Aha, describing said
<br /> territory, giving notice of the time and place
<br /> of public hearing thereon, where all protests
<br /> will be heard and passed upon, designating the
<br /> name of "North Main Street Annexation#, as an
<br /> appropriate name for said territory#
<br />
<br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 52-51 and passed by
<br />the following vote:
<br />
<br /> Ayes, Trustees William Jerome, J.L.Mc~ide,
<br /> Orson H. Hunter, Milford W. Dahl,
<br /> Cou~tney R. Chandler.

<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the
<br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance
<br />granted to Ira J. Chandler to permit an office building, parking
<br />facilities, and elimination of front and side yard requirements, at
<br />the southeast corner of Sycamore Street and Washington Avenue, subJecl
<br />to certain conditions.

<br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the plans
<br />as submitted by the City Engineer for the construction of a Sanitary
<br />sewer on Maple Street from McFadden to Wisteria Street were apDrOV~d and
<br />Clerk authorized to advertise for bide for 11~4 feet of 15 inch
<br />
<br />standard strength vitrified clay pipe; bids to be opened July 7, 1952.
