In Re Plans and profile Improve. Delhi Road from Main St. to East City Limits On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the plans and profile, as submitted by the City Engineer, for the improvement of ii Delhi Road from Main Street to the East City Limits, were approved In Re Request Pacific Electric Ry. Co. for submission to the State. # On recommendation of the committee and on motion of T~ustee McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the request of the Pacific Electric Railway Company for installation of boulevard step signs at the inter-li sections of Bush Street, Spu~geen Street and French Street, at Third In Re Transfer of funds Street, was denied. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the Clerk was authorized to draw warrants on demands, as approved by the Finance Committee, to effect transfers required between City Departments and the various funds in order to accomplish the completion of the financial records for the fiscal year 1951-52· subject to written opinion from In Re Appointment Col. On recommendation of the Administrator and on motion of Trustee Dab_l, seconded by Jerome and carried, Colonel Edward J. On recommendation of the Administrator and on motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, Colonel Homer Sterling was appointed Assistant Director of Civil Defense without increase in salary. # The Administrator stated that the Public Utilities Commission requested that automatic crossing gates be placed at the railroad crossings on East First Street and East Fourth Street. On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the City Engineer was instructed to advise the Public Utilities Commission that the City is not in favor of automatic crossing gates at these railroad crossings as previous installation proved unsatisfactory and no expenditure of funds to be In Re Request -Install reflectorized warning signs on ~th St. made at this time.
